The story! 5 stars! The narration! 5 stars! I actually started out traditionally reading this book but I loved it so much I didn’t want to stop while I was at work and downloaded the audio. Definitely one of my top read/listens this year.

This book broke my heart. I couldn't decide which direction I wanted this book to go. The audio was amazing. Kudos to Julia Whelan. She did fantastic!

This audiobook has been super addicting. I can't wait to move on to the others in the series. It's definitely giving me some Paper Princess vibes and I absolutely love it.

Really enjoyable!

I really enjoyed this book. The narration was great, the story was great. There was even a twist towards the end that I didn't expect (and I've read and listened to enough books that not much surprises me any more ha). Great job!

Weird.

The performance itself was great, but this story was just odd. The adults were all creepy and I just couldn't get into it like I would have liked.

Good...but....

I actually loved the performance and the narrators. I think they did a great job. I think I hyped this book up too much from what I read because the actual story itself to me was just....okay. I found myself pushing myself to finish just to finish and not really because I cared about what was happening in the actual story.

I wanted to love this book. I love YA adventures and I saw the trailer for this upcoming movie and thought it looked amazing, so I downloaded the book. I felt a little underwhelmed.

The book was just okay. I don't know if it was the narrator I couldn't get into, she sounded older than a teenage girl. Or if it was the story itself. Overall I thought the book was "okay" but I didn't like it enough to want to listen to the others.

I'll still see the movie though. :)

Where can I get a Ryan?

I don't even know what to say other than this book made me bawl and I absolutely loved it. Tijan for me sometimes can be very hit or miss. I either absolutely LOVE her books, or DNF them. This was one I seemed to devour. I found myself finishing the audio on my drive home from work (I listen to books at work) and then while I was cooking dinner, after my kids went to bed, etc. I was hooked. The performance was fantastic too. All in all, this was a fabulous story, plot-wise and performance-wise.

McGuire did it again!

I am a huge McGuire fan, so when I heard she was coming out with a new book, I was super excited.

This is definitely a book that's better to go in blind to. While I guessed the ending around the middle of the book, I still thoroughly enjoyed the story. I wish there was a little more romance as that's what Jamie does best, but since this was a YA book, it was definitely toned WAY down. Again, the story was still great. I loved ALL of the eclectic characters. I was never bored because they were so interesting to try and figure out.

Karissa Vacker was phenomenal. This is the first book she's narrated that I've listened to I think, and she did a fantastic job.
