Imagine a man who is a cross between a typical Southern Baptist minister and a typical Louis L'amour hero, and you'll probably arrive at a fair approximation of Eli Helmsman, the protagonist in this gritty, theologically infused western. Eli never went looking for violence, but he was bold to speak the truth as he saw it. Sometimes, violent men went looking for him...and more often than not, they ended up in boot hill.

great story, like Louis L'Amour or Zane Grey but with a Christian twist, read by the author who has a excellent baritone voice, I would listen to him read other books as well. spoiler alert, I teared up at the end and cowboys don't cry.
