I thought that I already wrote my review, but seeing it not appearing, I'm guessing that I did something wrong... no surprise there!!! lol. Anyway, I just want everyone to know that in every single way, including the wonderful narration, the books in this series deserve and receive 5 stars across the board from me. To say that I highly recommend this book and series is a gross understatement!!! In one word... Outstanding!!!

Best Book Ever!!!
Revisado: 04-01-25
This is the one book, besides the Holy Bible, that has made my heart soar higher than I thought possible, rejoice with thanksgiving, and the Spirit within me, Sing and Praise the Lord!!! To say I highly recommend this book is such a gross understatement... but for once, I have no words to accurately depict just how much this book has affected me!!! Needless to say, I rate this book with the highest possible score in every single way!!!

This book has touched my heart!!!
Revisado: 12-17-24
After hearing the end of the narration, my heart, mind, eyes, and voice keep crying the name of Jesus, Jesus, Jesus!!! He, who suffered so much for us all, died, and then rose again on the 3rd day, to save all who believe in Him and love Him as the Savior, Redeemer, Lord, Master, King, the Son of God, and is God!!! We love Him because He first loved us with the greatest love we will ever know!!! Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty... Praise to the Father, the Son, and to the Holy Spirit!!! Come quickly, Lord Jesus, Maranatha!!!

Historia
Bertie Jenkins has spent forty years serving as a midwife for her community in the Great Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. Out of all the mothers she’s tended, none affects her more than the young teenager who shows up on her doorstep, injured, afraid, and expecting, one warm June day in 1943. But soon Songbird is forced to make a heartbreaking decision that will tear this little family apart.

Historia
An overview of Jesus’ teachings on life’s most pressing topics. Consulting Jesus on how to find eternal life is common. But what relevance do Jesus’ teachings have for contemporary life? When it comes to core worldview topics such as human life, marriage, and race, should it be Christ or culture that decides our convictions? Can we really find intelligent answers to contemporary quandaries in the ancient teachings of Jesus? In Countercultural Living, Carol Swain confronts cultural consensus with the countercultural and surprisingly compelling teachings of Jesus.

I am definitely a fan of Dr. Carol M. Swain! While I have nothing against J.D. Vance, I was so hoping that President Trump would have picked her to be his running mate. The wonderful combination of intelligence, wisdom, common sense, and great faith is found in this one person and her writings!!! I look forward to meeting her in the air when the Lord, Jesus Christ, comes in the clouds to call His followers/believers Home!!! Maranatha!!! Come quickly, Lord Jesus!!!

Good Book & Narration

Other than some mispronunciations, the only things that I have to admit to being disappointed about were the sad endings. Without those sad endings, the story would have rated 5 stars along with the narration and the overall rating from me.

Revisado: 07-22-24
Thank you for showing the lengths of depravity that was experienced during World War II through the Nazi's and also the Soviets! Proof that removing Almighty God from groups and systems of Government enables the most evil and contemptible of attitudes and behavior!!! Thank you also for the most wonderful reunion at the end!!! While God may not be mentioned, how else can you explain many of the miraculous circumstances that kept saving Christian's life and the lives of Nora and Lisa!!! To me, they shouted of God's blessings and protections along the way!!! Both the writing of these books and the narration are top notch and deserve all the kudos and accolades this world can give!!!

Very Enjoyable Listening
Revisado: 07-12-24
I, at first, thought that the actor, Graham Greene, was the same as the author Graham Greene... After a bit of researching, they are, or rather were, two separate people. The author passed away in 1991. My preference is the Canadian First Nations Actor... and I could listen and/or watch that Graham Greene forever!!! As the title of this review suggests, this was a very enjoyable listening experience. I just wish it had been much longer!!!
