Historia
For more than a half century, Father Damien Modeste has served his beloved people, the Ojibwe, on the remote reservation of Little No Horse. Now, nearing the end of his life, Father Damien dreads the discovery of his physical identity, for he is a woman who has lived as a man. To complicate his fears, his quiet life changes when a troubled colleague comes to the reservation to investigate the life of the perplexing, difficult, possibly false saint Sister Leopolda.

Fantastic Storytelling,Enthralling
Revisado: 07-29-23
In this day and age, a great story about a dual gender character. Wonderful list of authentic characters on a genuine reservation in the early part of 1900.Ms Erdrich is a fantastic weaver of history and storyline in a form of a tale that will stay with you for a long time.
Should be a movie.
Read all of the reviews, nobody gets this many thumbs up as Ms Erdrich!

Historia
An astonishing tip from a grateful ex-convict seems implausible - but Inspector Ian Rutledge is intrigued and brings it to his superior at Scotland Yard. Alan Barrington, who has evaded capture for 10 years, is the suspect in an appalling murder during Black Ascot, the famous 1910 royal horse race honoring the late King Edward VII. His disappearance began a manhunt that consumed Britain for a decade. Now, it appears that Barrington has returned to England, giving the Yard a last chance to retrieve its reputation and see justice done.

Too many characters, I kept playing back sections where the characters were introduced.
Revisado: 02-28-23
I needed to keep a journal of all the characters to keep my sanity! Understandably a good detective story by a famously well read author
But it took a lot of reviewing to keep up. Having said that, my ignorance may have been helped if the characters had been represented by different voices. The audio seem to be very monotone, although I liked his voice. it seemed even a times that the. Person doing the audio for the main character took breaks in between, and they were different pitches in the way he delivered the story. A little distressing, but a good story all in all.

While the world seems to be in love with the idea of tiny houses and minimalism, many of us simply can't purge it all and start from nothing. Yet a home with too much stuff is difficult to maintain, so where do we begin? Add in paralyzing emotional attachments and constant life challenges, and it can feel almost impossible to make real decluttering progress.

Ya'all is not a word
Revisado: 02-01-23
Any author that uses this phrase as a pronoun, should not be writing a book. Having said that, there were some useful tools she presented and that I probably will use but I found in general, this was not a helpful book. Maybe I didn't need to declutter as much as some people and there in lies my disalutionment. I cannot recommend this book to anyone who needs a light hand in dissolving minor clutter.. I can recommend it to those that need to get informed on out of date foods and baby clutter. I will use some of it but for the most part I found it a waste of time. Honestly, it as my first self help book and it was disappointing.

Historia
When editor Susan Ryeland is given the manuscript of Alan Conway's latest novel, she has no reason to think it will be much different from any of his others. After working with the best-selling crime writer for years, she's intimately familiar with his detective, Atticus Pünd, who solves mysteries disturbing sleepy English villages. An homage to queens of classic British crime such as Agatha Christie and Dorothy Sayers, Alan's traditional formula has proved hugely successful.

Revisado: 10-31-22
Another great story by Anthony Horowitz. The performers told the story with conviction!
Now I see PBS and Masterpiece Theater have taken it on but can't nearly promote the wonderful Atticus Pudnt
or the wonderful tale this book presents! A must read for mystery lovers!

Wonderful heartfelt tale from Tx to NM
Revisado: 10-31-22
Great long Epic tale told by a very convincing voice. This story puts you at the end of th last century and brings you to 1919 in the heart of the old west in Texas,Nw Mexico and Arizona. Perfectly describes the landscape and accurately described ranching life.
Id love to read the story again and again and hope for a continuation by the author.
The reading performance was superb.

Good attempt at Duplicating her Fathers skills
Revisado: 10-07-22
Captivating story set in the amazingly beautiful Lake Powell Arizona area. But the storyline was easy to guess and the Texas and midwestern accents were disturbing. The Native tongue references were a plus and it was easy to get lost in the descriptions of the landscape.

Historia
Retired publisher Susan Ryeland is living the good life. She is running a small hotel on a Greek island with her long-term boyfriend Andreas. It should be everything she's always wanted. But is it? She's exhausted with the responsibilities of making everything work on an island where nothing ever does, and truth be told, she's beginning to miss London. And then the Trehearnes come to stay. The strange story they tell about an unfortunate murder that took place on the same day and in the same hotel in which their daughter was married fascinates Susan and piques her editor's instincts.
