If you love Elvira, then you will love this book. Cassandra’s story is fascinating and quite moving. Having it read by the author, Cassandra, herself, is an added perk. I found this book very much worth my time. Excellent!!

As a huge fan of theTV show Friends, and especially Chandler Bing, I couldn’t wait to hear the story of this talented actor. If you are expecting a laugh a minute feel good book this is not in that book. Instead it deals heavily with a person who is burden with addiction and his inability to conquer it. It was a fascinating listen and my hope is that Matthew Perry can be free of this disease for the rest of his life. He also reads the book himself which is all the better.

The pure joy of this is listening to Simon tell his story while also interweaving a secondary adventure as though Simon himself is a James Bond type of figure. I could listen to a series of those stories. Simon's vocal work is fantastic. Thoroughly engaging. Not since listening to Bruce Campbell's first book, If Chins Could Kill, have I had this much fun listening to an audiobook. If you are a Simon Pegg fan, I highly recommend this book!

Where does Hail to the Chin rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Bruce is always one of the best authors to read their own book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Hail to the Chin?

His Burn Notice Years!

Have you listened to any of Bruce Campbell’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. Just as good!

Any additional comments?

After plowing through the goodness of his first book, "If Chins Could Kill," I was bummed it stopped before getting to his "Burn Notice" years. But despite that, it is one of the best audio books you will ever hear. Funny, informative and highly entertaining. Then my prayers were answered in his sequel book, "Hail to the Chin." Picks right up where his first book left off and takes you right up to him returning to Ash vs Evil Dead. Bruce is a master storyteller. If you are thinking of getting this book because you are a fan of his, think no longer. Just do it already and start listening.

This book made me love George Lucas again!

If you could sum up George Lucas in three words, what would they be?

Immersive, Enjoyable, Informative

What was one of the most memorable moments of George Lucas?

Almost dying and his connection to his dad was more fascinating than I thought it would be. And, of course, the path he took making his films was so well told. They all seemed to be a personal struggle. His commitment to filmmaking would eventually take it's toll on his first marriage. All amazing stuff.

Have you listened to any of Jay Snyder’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but he was great! I would listen to other works by him.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I was very moved at times listening to this book. This book was so good, that I would listen to it on the way to work and coming home. In fact, I got bummed when I got to work because I had to stop listening, but then got all exciting again going home because I got to continue. No lie!

Any additional comments?

George has taken some real hits since his prequel movies, and I certainly have been among them. But I can tell you, if you get this to learn about George, you will have an entirely new respect for the man and the work he has created. I would totally listen to this book again. It has been my favorite Audible book to date.

Great for the history of Universal

Would you listen to Universal Versus Disney again? Why?

Yes. It tells the history of my favorite studio, Universal. Except I will have to prep my ears for Robert's mispronunciations throughout the recording.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I would not have misled the audience by having the title "Universal vs Disney" as the story skews heavily in Universal's favor.

Would you be willing to try another one of Robert Feifar’s performances?

No. He horribly mispronounces common words that everyone listening knows is pronounced a different way. It feels like he's from another country and learned English as a second language.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

How Universal Studios took on the juggernaut of Walt Disney!

Any additional comments?

Have someone 'LISTEN' to this recording when it's done. No one from America could have possibly let certain words be pronounced the way Robert pronounced them. It makes you feel as if the producer of this recording could just care less. Here are some examples. The first is the actual word/name and the second is how you will hear Robert repeatedly say words. Trust me, it will drive you crazy.Industry (we say indusTREE) - Industry (He says in-DUS-tree) this is the most used and mispronounced word in the entire book, and he says it a lot! / Ivan Reitman - Ivan Reetman / Rosevelt - Roozavelt / Expletive - Expleetive / Hermione from Harry Potter (we all know it's Her-my-knee thanks to all the movies) - Robert says Her-MY-oh-knee (seriously...WHAT!)

Amazing storytelling & inconceivable impressions!

What made the experience of listening to As You Wish the most enjoyable?

Not only does Cary do an incredible bit of story telling, he does so with great humor. Along with his hysterical impressions also comes interviews of many of the other artists involved.

What was one of the most memorable moments of As You Wish?

So many things...I was stunned to hear how Rob traveled across the globe just to talk to Cary about playing the role. And all stories about Andre the Giant were just so good.

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

EVERYTHING! Cary is an amazing storyteller. His vocal talent is perfect for this story. So much of this I never knew. In fact, I had not watched Princess Bride for well over a decade before listening to this. I was so wrapped up in this story, that I promised myself not to watch the movie until I heard every word. Worth the wait!! It's probably the most I have ever enjoyed watching this film!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

As you wish, the inconceivable story of the princess bride!

Any additional comments?

My only nit pick is probably the over gushing about how beautiful and perfect Robin Wright was. She was amazing, yes, but when you hear this, you will think, my goodness, they're spending quite a lot of time on how wonderful and perfect she was. Other than that total nit pick, this audio book is beyond worth every penny! I truly would not understand anyone who would give this less that four or five stars.

The backstory we needed for Riker and Troi!

Would you listen to Star Trek, The Next Generation again? Why?

Yes, because I love the franchise and any chance to further the journey, I'm there.

What did you like best about this story?

Jonathan Frakes did a great job narrating the story based on his character, Will Riker.

What does Jonathan Frakes bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

You get to hear the actual voice of Riker and that really enhances the enjoyment of this audiobook.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

While I wasn't quite moved to tears, I was quite moved at the conclusion of the book. I did however, laugh several times.

Any additional comments?

If you ever wanted to know the backstory of how Riker and Troi got together and explain that odd sexual tension they had on the show and but were never really told why, "Imzadi" finally answers that and other questions. Some great cameos include Deanna's mother, Lwaxana, and a nice appearance by an older Wesley Crusher that will make you cheer. I won't spoil the surprise, but let's just say, when he was introduced, I was like, "Yea, that's cool. Good for Wes!" Wonderfully read by Jonathan Frakes, this is a true treat for all Star Trek the Next Generation fans.
