This is not a book, it’s an ad.
Revisado: 03-31-23
Not only was this egregiously chatty and arrogant, it was also a disorganized mess pretending to be a audiobook as it constantly plugged the purchase of the author’s app. The only person’s success this book is designed to build is the author’s. Total waste of time. There are plenty of amazing motivational books out there with solid advice. This is not one of them.

When 18-year-old Zetian offers herself up as a concubine-pilot, it's to assassinate the ace male pilot responsible for her sister's death. Best book I’ve read in 5 years!
Revisado: 01-31-22
This is it folks, the real deal. Wow. Loved the way it handled social issues so poignantly. Deeply feminist in the most impactful way. Excellent beta male characters and the best treatment of a love triangle in any YA novel.

Best of its kind!
Revisado: 06-23-20
The narrators are GOLDEN. They’re better than 90% of the ones I’ve heard and I listen to a lot of good YA audiobooks!
As for the story, you need this one. It will stay with you! It’s racing with action and romance! I’m ready for more!

A listen every YA fan will fall in love with!
Revisado: 03-29-18
Laurel is a believable and likable protagonist who drives the story forward at a healthy pace. All of the characters were unique to themselves and added texture to the story. The beginning setting is mysterious and purposely a little drab (an old trailer in the woods), yet the authors managed to infuse so much whimsy and vibrancy into the story. Jasper was a swoon-worthy love interest and his baggage made sense. I liked that even though Laurel was self-conscious, she could feel that they had something. The romance felt like a partnership to me, as Laurel clearly isn’t a damsel in distress but rather one of the knights in shining armor trying to save her sister. This was a great take on modern love: romantic, family and friendship.
Lastly, the reader was top tier! Sarah Drew was my favorite audio book performer, but now she’s tied with Sarah Naughton.
I loved every second of this one and was sad when it was over! Can’t wait for more!

Historia
Psychologist Natalie Marsh's dream is now reality: Her mental health services clinic has opened and is housed in an elegant, newly renovated 19th-century building. Unfortunately not everyone is happy with the clinic's presence, including Heather Osbourne, a troubled young woman who wholly objects to the occupation of the building. Heather has spent years wandering the halls of the abandoned structure, convinced she's communing with her ancestor's ghost.

Equally thrilling and unnerving!
Revisado: 12-18-17
Black immerses us in a setting that is believable and intriguing, a mental clinic in an upscale neighborhood that receives backlash. Her characters are diverse and add texture to the story. The plot is paced well and there are enough well-veiled clues to make the ending surprising yet satisfying. I was able to clean my house while listening and follow everything that was going on. The reader has a great “invisible” sort of voice that has enough vocal variation to be engaging but not so much that it distracts from the story or is cloying in any way. Really enjoyed this novel and am looking forward to more of Black’s books on Audible in the future!
