Revisado: 06-15-22
Well researched. Loved the characters! Brava on women in non-traditional roles. Will there be a sequel?

Historia
Today, sports arenas have been transformed into staging grounds for American patriotism and the hero worship of law enforcement. Teams wear camouflage jerseys to honor those who serve; police officers throw out first pitches; soldiers surprise their families with homecomings at halftime. Sports and politics are decidedly entwined. But as journalist Howard Bryant reveals, this has always been more complicated for black athletes, who from the start were committing a political act simply by being on the field.

Excellent
Black athletes and their minds are a dangerous threat to the ruling class of which many of them are a part of too.
I am even more inspired by athletes woh stand up for the people.

What if the dreaded world of Alzheimer's was also a world of emotional discovery? Eugenia Zukerman's poetry and simple prose, both heartbreaking and ultimately inspirational, ushers the listener into her world as she unflinchingly examines familial loyalties, moments from her past and present, and the need to face an uncertain future due to the diagnosis of a condition that she truly hopes "will remain unnamed."

Historia
The Reckoning will examine America’s national trauma, rooted in our history but dramatically exacerbated by the impact of current events and the Trump administration’s corrupt and immoral policies. Our failure to acknowledge this trauma, let alone root it out, has allowed it to metastasize. Whether it manifests itself in rising levels of rage and hatred, or hopelessness and apathy, the stress of living in a country we no longer recognize has affected all of us. America is suffering from PTSD - a new leader alone cannot fix us.

Historia
Woodward, the number-one international bestselling author of Fear: Trump in the White House, has uncovered the precise moment the president was warned that the Covid-19 epidemic would be the biggest national security threat to his presidency. In dramatic detail, Woodward takes readers into the Oval Office as Trump’s head pops up when he is told in January 2020 that the pandemic could reach the scale of the 1918 Spanish Flu that killed 675,000 Americans.

I too was weary by the books end
Revisado: 11-01-20
Why feed his sense of entitlement and vain glory?? He needs less attention and analysis. He needs to be unseated before it’s too late. The clock is ticking. I agree with your analysis— but I wish you would have pushed back on the “economy is great “ because no one - we still see the results of the previous presidents’ handiwork. Why is it that a white president can run and win on the economy but a black president did not? It’s always about racism no matter how you slice it. Trump is a disgrace and incompetent and so his his son in law. Their arrogance is reckless.

No smoking gun here . But I like who she is and happy she stood up to her uncle when no one else seems to have the guts to do it. I pray her uncles reign of terror ends in November. I hope her book turns some white folks round.

Historia
In her memoir, Power offers an urgent response to the question "What can one person do?" and a call for a clearer eye, a kinder heart, and a more open and civil hand in our politics and daily lives. The Education of an Idealist traces Power’s distinctly American journey from immigrant to war correspondent to presidential Cabinet official. In 2005, her critiques of US foreign policy caught the eye of newly elected senator Barack Obama, who invited her to work with him on Capitol Hill and then on his presidential campaign.
