Historia
Drawing on new research, including the diaries, memoirs, and personal letters of both Lenin and his friends, Victor Sebestyen's unique biography - the first in English in nearly two decades - is not only a political examination of one of the most important historical figures of the 20th century but a portrait of Lenin the man. Unexpectedly, Lenin was someone who loved nature, hunting, and fishing and could identify hundreds of species of plants, a despotic ruler whose closest ties and friendships were with women.

Excellent history and presentation

Well-documented work, brilliantly written and equally brilliantly presented. I understand the origins of 20th century conflicts much better now.

Historia
This classic in the field of ufology is filled with hard-hitting eyewitness testimony of one of the most important events of all time: the actual recovery of a UFO outside of Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947. For more than seventy years, government authorities have led us to believe the wreckage was merely a very conventional weather balloon - but the witnesses who were there continue to tell a different story. Witness to Roswell once again provides a "can't put down" written account of what really transpired in Roswell decades ago.

Best case for Roswell as crashed alien craft but …
Revisado: 12-19-22
What if it wasn’t a crashed alien ship? I doubt it was. Countless times authors say such and such can’t be explained by the weather balloon story. Quite true but there are possibilities (such as advanced prototype) other than weather balloon or Mogul balloon or alien craft.
What of reports of alien bodies? Authors themselves said they had reports of alien bodies at numerous locations after the fact. Highly unlikely. If such existed they would have been put in one expensive secure and sophisticated facility and stay put.
Authors unmasked a few liars, as stated. But there were undoubtedly more.

Historia
Narrator Dan Stevens ( Downton Abbey) presents an uncanny performance of Mary Shelley's timeless gothic novel, an epic battle between man and monster at its greatest literary pitch. In trying to create life, the young student Victor Frankenstein unleashes forces beyond his control, setting into motion a long and tragic chain of events that brings Victor to the very brink of madness. How he tries to destroy his creation, as it destroys everything Victor loves, is a powerful story of love, friendship, scientific hubris, and horror.

Terrific

Brilliant story far more sophisticated than movies of it. Wonderfully read. I might even listen again was so interesting. More than about a monster.

In June 1867, Mark Twain set out for Europe and the Holy Land on the paddle steamer Quaker City. His enduring, no-nonsense guide for the first-time traveler also served as an antidote to the insufferably romantic travel books of the period.

Mark Twain is often funny and always interesting. The reader did a fine job. Enjoyable book about Mark Twain’s travel overseas in 1867.
