Historia
House Gracefall wasn’t anything like what Derek had imagined it would be. Instead of rage and anger at the loss of one of their young masters, House Gracefall showed humility and even apologized. Despite one noble house exemplifying honor and nobility, another awaited to reinforce the negative stereotypes that Derek had been anticipating all along. Somehow, out of all that, Derek made a new friend, a new business partner, and learned some secrets, while Silvi got her first taste of the real world of cooking and loved it.

Good, but narration and stats are inconsistent.
Revisado: 06-16-24
Good story. This book is like a slice of life for an OP adventurer. There are some inconsistency with stats. For example, in chapter 43, it says hunt is level 171, but at the end recap, it says he is level 165. The narration is ok but it is hard to tell who is talking sometimes because new male characters sound exactly like the MC.

Historia
Ashlock wakes in the courtyard of a demonic sect... as a tree. A tree that eats people. An odd start to a new life. Almost as strange as the humans flying through the skies on flaming swords and challenging the heavens. After all, this is a world where humans could chase the goal of immortality through the art of cultivation. But Ashlock is merely a sapling in a desolate courtyard, left alone with his thoughts and unable to speak to those passing him by. Unless he does something about it.

clever world building.
Revisado: 04-09-24
As the reader or listener, you only get the story of the world with in the influential reach of the protagonist. There are little snippets of info about the wider world outside of the "reach". I love this about the story. It gives a great immersive quality to the story. Some story events you see coming and others are a complete surprise, since they didn't build up with in the reach.
The power system is based on cultivation with references to other potential power sources. Most of the characters use some form of this cultivation system. With this solid system, there is a potential for many more books. I can't wait for the audible release for the mext book on May 7.

great addition to series.
Revisado: 01-03-24
Great book for New characters, action sequences, narration, world building, and character development. My only gripe is that the beginning of the book is kind of boring. Although the action sequences were good, I found the political side of the southern continent to be super boring and hard to pay attention to. Once the protagonist gets to the north, that is when the book takes off, imo. The new characters, cultures, and dungeons are exciting.
This book is well worth the credit by far.

Great character development
Revisado: 12-19-23
Love the character development for Jason and crew. Also, the new story elements that will eventually mix with some old elements will make for amazing future events in future books. I can't for the next installment. The comedy in this book is gold.

Good continuation, with an error.
Revisado: 06-26-23
I'm loving the series. On one hand, the character development, world building, action sequences, and timing are all well done. On the other hand, there are two issues that are hard for me to ignore.
The first issue is with the MC's development. Salvos still has her wit, but her intelligence has taken a back seat in book 6. She went from learning while fighting to falling for the same tricks done by the same enemy multiple times. She barely uses or stops using some of her great combinations. Like using time warp to slow down her enemies or using time warp and haste to speed her self up.
The second issue is with an artifact. The prison ring that Faith got from her father was described as a one-time use artifact and should only be used in case of an emergency. This ring was stolen when she lost her arm in a previous book. In this book, this same ring is used multiple times. The first time was on Daniel, and that should have been its one and only use. Later, the same ring gets used on Salvos, and later in that same fight, they try to use the ring again 🙄.
Other than these issues, the book was good. Seeing the supporting characters go through their own journeys was refreshing. I'm happy to see Daniel show some courage without having someone to push him into it.

Revisado: 06-09-23
Seeing everyone advance in their own way was super satisfying. I'm glad there was more of the 8 man empire and Sen finally gets what's coming to him. Oh sweet sweet justice. Seems like this could lead into a new series, but if not, this is a nice ending.

Michelle is best girl
Revisado: 11-22-22
Great start to series. I love that the MC struggles with the actions he has taken, since some of them could be seen as straight evil. The angel jokes had me rolling. I hope there is more Michelle in the series, because every part that she is in makes me smile. I think Vera some how forgetting about a certain bookbag, that she kept "food" in, is kind of weird since she is hungry a lot. I did like the last battle in book three, but it really didn't need to happen after Michelle verified that there was no one in the warehouse. And lastly f&%* Adam that slimy piece of garbage. So happy that karma got his butt.
Story is very engaging and I am happy that the "breaking bad" saying was rarely used after book 2.

Historia
The illegal Monster Hunt app has definitely done a number on Chase Knowles’ life, transforming him from a down-on-his-luck musician to the Alpha of two incredible Huntresses. Along with his bandmate, Iris, the group has taken New York City by storm, hunting and brawling in the city’s landmarks and hard-to-reach spaces. But there is more to the Monster Hunt app than catch or sell. An exclusive world known as EverLife presents new challenges, new adventure, and a mystery that none have been able to solve. It also presents new foes.

Decent story, great banter, & magical performance
Revisado: 10-23-22
First off, Soundbooth theater has spoiled me with the sound effects and the music added to the narration. It makes for an unbelievably immersive experience. I'm not sure if normal audio books will be enough.
The story is good, but not great. Things just seem to happen without much build up too them. There is a spot in the story where the MC's debt could have raise the stakes in both worlds, but there was zero backlash cause by the debt. One of the long build up that was in the story had a super disappointing climax. What makes the story good and worth your time are the characters, their banter with each other, their development, their battles, and the 2 "worlds" they do it all in. All the different cultures coming together makes for funny conversations. The battles are well described, with sound effects backing the descriptions. The world interactions of those playing monster hunt makes for some funny and tense moments. The MC trying to keep track of what is truly important is thought provoking. Some might say he is a fool, and then again some might say he is chasing happiness.
Overall I think this is definitely worth the credit. I found myself sitting in my car listening after my drive home from work. I just did not want to stop in the middle of the chapter.

Great banter
Revisado: 09-20-22
The banter and conversations have a very natural feel to them. Each character having there own style and characteristics to their speech. The story is interesting and the steam factor is through the rough. If you don't like dirty talk than this book is not for you. I have to say this, the narration is SS+ rank by both performers. I think I just found new favorites.
