Historia
Columnist Anna Appleby has left her love life behind after a painful divorce. Who needs a man when she has two kids, a cat, and uncontested control of the TV remote? Besides, she’d rather be single than subject herself to the hell of online dating. But her office rival is vying for her column, and no column means no stable source of income. In a desperate attempt to keep her job, Anna finds herself pitching a unique angle: seven dates, all found offline, chosen by her children.

Historia
For Lila Reyes, a summer in England was never part of the plan. But then the Trifecta happened, and everything—including Lila herself—fell apart. Worried about Lila’s mental health, her parents make a new plan for her: Spend three months with family friends in Winchester, England, to reset. But with the lack of sun, a grumpy inn cook, and a small town lacking Miami flavor (in food and otherwise), what would be a dream trip for some feels more like a nightmare to Lila…until she meets Orion Maxwell. It isn’t long before Lila is not only charmed by Orion, but England itself.

so captivating!

Just finished this book, it captures so much of what I experienced leaving my hometown of Miami to other places. Cried to many times! So relatable, especially the fusion of Miami and England.

No, she did great! She hit the nail with each voice.

The ending.
Any additional comments?
If you like fictional time travel novels, you'll love this. I heard it described as The Outlander with an Italian accent. I really enjoyed the richness of the characters and plot itself. I heard it through Audible and there is some excitement when you're hearing it in English with Italian accent. The book has more meaning and becomes memorable. It also inspired to step it up in the kitchen with rustic Italian meals that I'm assuming were cooked in the 1340s. I'm looking forward to more from this author. As a person who enjoys reading about science and history, this was a treat!
