Clementine is attacked after a big break-up and has amnesia. I enjoyed the TBI factor and its effects on her personality. The stalker factor gave the book its surprising twist.

I enjoyed this without having read any of the series. Sam is older than Martha. He's 41 if I remember correctly. He's waited for years for the right time for him and Martha. He's calm and she's not so much, but she's smart and finally maturing. She apparently messed up in relationships in the past. She gets to clear the air and gets the solid, dependable guy that is smart enough to give her the right amount of power in the relationship without being diminished as the man in charge. I'm looking forward to reading the series.

Having read only 1 of the books that this anthology related to, I wouldn't pay much for it or use a credit. The anthology format only works for me if the stories are strong as stand-alones too, or if you've read all the related books recently enough to still feel connected to the characters. Maybe it would work better if the follow-up stories were grouped by series, so that the reader of, for instance, the Colorado Mountain series could finish the series and know that all the anthology segments would relate to the same series. Obviously, loyal fans would want to read related short stories/novellas, but only at short-story prices. I accessed this through Audible Escapes with unlimited selections, so it's ok, but I would have been upset otherwise. Still a KA fan, but...

'The Stars Aligned' The story of Hap and Luci was good, especially since I recently finished Heaven and Hell, where they were introduced. I enjoyed their story and would give it 5 starts, as I do most KA stories. I don't think I would have gotten as much pleasure out of it if they weren't still fresh in my mind. I also enjoyed revisiting Kia and Sam's HEA in progress. (main characters from Heaven and Hell)

The Vitucci Mafiosos: Despite disappointing narration, the series is really good, and worth hearing. 4 books in series. It has tie-ins with the Angel's Halo MC series.

Narration bombed voices and accents but a lot happened in this book. If you've started this series, just focus on knowing that very surprising things are going to happen and the series is worth it.

Victoria and Adrian, book 2 of series. The heat started the first time they laid eyes on each other. The male narrator's voice and accent were a refreshing change. Yes, a purist could pick apart the accent, etc, but he read it well, with feeling that worked for me. I heard a few cheesy line deliveries, but hey, stay with the fantasy! Victoria was irresponsible about managing her diabetes, but as the title says, she's always been a princess, never apart from her twin sister who has always managed her care. Now I'll laugh at myself...mafia, torture, the only thing that pulled me out of the fiction was diabetes. So, one reality check...alcohol with type 1 diabetes...not cool, even in fiction.

This is the first of the Moonlight and Motor Oil series I've read. I liked the integrity of the characters in this story. They are both hard-working people who have no desire for drama in a relationship. She's new to town and everyone but her knows his history. Naturally, they both bring hurts from the past into the story. It started with a hook-up for a lady who doesn't do hook-ups, a self-described prude. From the first night, the prude is a sex-kitten (his words) with this man, and only ever this man.

For me, nothing has ever matched the Colorado Mountain series, but this was a good romance. I presume that her sister and his brother Toby will get their own story. I'll look forward to it.

Book 8 of 8: Forever Angel gave me what I expressed need for in my mid-series book 5 review. Book 8 gave news of each couple in the series as they moved into their futures. My enjoyment of this series has grown as I went through it. This series differed from other MC series I've read in that there was less focus on random hook-ups in the present. The present was devoted to developing couples, dealing with enemies, and taking care of family. Hookups in the past were connected to current couples, so gave context to important relationships. The men were just dumb in handling women they cared about, but were teachable because the women didn't just take it and continue without doing something to change it. I disliked when a daughter gave up her inheritance to an evil father to get free of him. In real life he'd live to be a successfully self-serving politician. It worked out in the story, though. I'd say that this series gave more details about handling enemies in place of x-rated MC parties. Having someone who was unquestionably gone reappear (OMG!), and that character's story was a total surprise. This move by the writer was very impressive, not something I've been encountering in MC stories. This raised my score for the series, and my expectation of further accomplishments by this author.

The kids are obviously shaping up to be their own series in the future. I would definitely read it. The tie-in with the mafia series, which I will read soon, is strengthened at the end of the book.

Each book has been short enough for me to finish in a day. Each has focused on a different couple's story while continuing the stories of previous couples in the background. You need to read these books in correct order to get the continuing story of what's happening for the club and MC family. The perfect series, in my opinion, would give a few more moments to past couples here and there as a way to keep the reader experiencing their HEA as an ongoing event, with tie-in to the new couple, of course. That would improve this series.

In Atonement, I would have liked to have had a detailed description of Quinn's debut 'on stage' (trying not to give a spoiler). Also, it has irritated me throughout the series that men refer to all women as 'females.' I've never heard the unclaimed club women referred to as 'sheep' before. It's actually a fair description of how they herd in whatever way the men send them, but regarding Quinn's sheep sisters, those sheep have claws!

Mafia factors entered the story in book 4, reminding the reader that these men who are loving and protective of their families can also be as bad as it takes, and more when those they protect are harmed. The mafia problem just increased in book 5, Atonement. I'm now very interested in The Vitucci Mafiosos, a 4 book series by this author. I'll finish the last 3 books in Angel's Halo in the next few days, then reevaluate the series.

This is the first thing I've tried with this author. It was short -5 hours- so I finished it in an afternoon. I liked the characters and found interesting threads with as much or more focus on the female characters as the biker connected to each one. The bikers so far are protective and make relationship mistakes but aren't abusive to females. They can be very rough with each other, though. This one ends with a cliffhanger so I'm going immediately into book 2 which is less than 6 hours. I wouldn't spend credits on short stuff like this, but it's good through Escape. Since they're so short, I may not comment on each one, but will rate the series on the last book.
