My gets way dumber

In the first book the MC was realistically intelligent, but in this one he was not. He takes actions that don’t fit his character and instead only serve to create challenges for him to overcome. Sorta screams lazy writing.

MC Care More About Insects Than People

The MC is given a choice to save bees or people, and chooses the bees without any explanation. Overall the MC is just getting more and more stupid and painful to listen to chapter after chapter. Also if the book was half as long it would be better, it feels like the author ran out of ideas but had to hit a word count. Some scenes are literally written 3 times from 3 perspective, showing the exact same thing, which is really poor writing.

MC get walked on all book

In this installment the MC starts the book by getting insulted and hurt by his partners when they assume he wants to kill his own child… he completely fails to stand up for himself or voice his discontentment. For the rest of the book he continuely has to apologize for compatibly minor things and his partners completely fail to be understanding, overall the MC is a weak willed man child.

Overall, the book was quite good. At times it felt slow but I’m excited to see what happens in the next book at the end of it so that way I can’t help but give it five stars.
