Historia
In The Trachinian Tragedy, better known as the Women of Trachis, the wife of Herakles, Deianeira, finds she has a rival in the house for her husband's affection. The consequences of her counteraction are incredible. In this faithful translation, F. L. Light attempts to write as good a play in English as the original in Greek. F. L. Light has also translated Antigone of Sophocles.

Fantastic Translation and Performance!
Revisado: 05-28-15
I thought this was a really good translation of Sophocles's play, and the narration was great as well. The narrator says the character's name before he says the character's lines, though I can still hear a bit of voice variation between the characters as well. (and since there was just one person performing the entire drama, I thought that was very impressive!) The performer's voice is also very clear, which made listening to this audio book enjoyable. This is a great translation and performance of a play, and I'm glad I found this because I don't see plays on audible as much as some other genres!

Historia
Meet Kenneth Bracewell, a veteran who does not allow failure to be an option in his life regardless of the situation or environment he is in. A Veteran's Road to College Success is a story of conviction through society and service to others. During his senior year of high school, Kenneth's counselor told him that he was not bright enough to be a soldier in the United States Army. The negative comment meant nothing for the young man, who became an infantry soldier one year after the event took place.

Very Inspiring
Revisado: 04-26-15
I don't listen to a whole ton of audiobooks, but this one definitely caught my attention. I felt that in just less than two hours, the author was able to inspire his listeners while keeping their attention all the way through. One of the best things I got out of listening to this book is that you really can do what you want to do if you set your heart to it. Kenneth Bracewell really shows us that in his story; it is incredibly motivating and inspiring to hear his story, from serving in the US Army to succeeding in college and life despite all the challenges and setbacks that he faced. My favorite thing about this audiobook is probably the fact that the author really spoke to us like we were his friends. It was very down to earth, honest, and I really enjoyed the listen.

Historia
Bargepole Management is a business self-help book that breaks the mold—it’s not about improving yourself or achieving success through your own skills and merits, instead, it posits the theory of how managing information and perceptions of yourself through the “bargepole” system and approach can help you succeed regardless of how good (or bad) you are at your job.

Fantastic
Revisado: 04-04-15
What is bargepole management? After reading the title and description, I was immediately intrigued. It certainly seems interesting enough.
The book did not disappoint; it was every bit as interesting as the summary makes it: the author points out that success does not necessarily have to do with your skill level, or intelligence, or even effort... in fact, the bargepole system is a "shortcut" to success. It's a very interesting theory, and the author goes on to describe how this system can help you succeed at your workplace or company. This is the first time I've heard of this, as I, like many others, have often been told that success comes from hard work, and hard work alone will get you further. The author really goes to support and explain bargepole management through examples of (fictional, but realistic) people: the "aristocrat," Dave, the "Enchanter," Charles, and the "Tyrant," Bill, for example, painting a convincing picture of what bargepole management is--and could be.
The book then goes into the mindset of bargepole management, and on what economic basis that bargepole theory works... and then of course, how to implement bargepole theory into your own life. I'm absolutely amazed at the wealth of information that the author provides his readers, and this is a must have for anyone looking to advance in their jobs. It's a shortcut.. and a shortcut that works. Detailed, yet to-the-point and brilliantly written, this is an invaluable book. I highly recommend this.

Loving yourself is all about energy. As humans we devote a great deal of our energy through our time, thoughts and emotions to love. We read about it, watch movies and shows about it, dream about it, hope for it to bless our lives, feel like something critically important is lacking when it doesn't, and at the very least keep a sharp eye out for it when its missing. Too often we look to someone else to fulfill our love and crash and burn when relationships end, or fail to live up to our fantasies of what we thought they should be.

The importance of loving yourself!
Revisado: 10-22-14
What did you love best about Love Yourself?
That is short, sweet, and to the point. (: It's not long winded, but the message gets across and it is a great, inspiring, and thought provoking audio book!
What about John Eastman’s performance did you like?
His voice was pretty comforting! Deep, soothing voice that wasn't harsh to listen to at all.
What insight do you think you’ll apply from Love Yourself?
To truly love myself. I never really thought it was important to tell myself "I love you". I've always been confident, but I've never really said that to myself. Never felt the need to. After listening, however, I have a brand new perspective on what it is to truly love yourself and how important it is.
Any additional comments?
I definitely recommend this awesome, short audio book to anyone looking to be uplifted and feel inspired. You can really make a difference in your life, and go a step towards self acceptance and self love!

Wow...
Revisado: 10-12-14
I'm not a parent; I'm actually your typical teenager--but this book was very moving. I know what autism is, and I've had the chance to work with kids with autism (and other special needs) in the past, but this really put things into perspective for me. It is very uplifting, the strength and love the parents have. Even though it was a short audiobook, it was very impactful, and I hope that the stories here will help some parents out there. Five stars for everything!
