No Need to Agree, Just Need to Listen

I don’t agree with many opinions presented in this podcast, and for a moment I thought it sucks because of that. Then I realized that the whole point of this podcast is to show different viewpoints of the Godfather, and to tell us this is exactly why the movie became a legend. I am not here to agree to everything that is being said, I am just here to listen.

Our hero Mark Easterbrook, a historian, learns of a secretive organisation known as The Pale Horse and of their supernatural connections in the village of Much Deeping. The list of names seems to foretell the deaths of several people and Mark must piece together the clues and unearth the connections between them all.

An interesting way to tell the story

It is definitely not exactly the same story as it was told in the book, but it is a dramatization after all! I liked the book, yet I still like this version because it is concise yet to the point. Loved the performance as well - maybe I am a bit biased, but Jason Hughes would make a perfect Mark Easterbrook.

Very educational and interesting!

I have been an avid listener for the Planet Money podcast, so maybe I am biased, but I really enjoyed this book! Jacob has made the history of money entertaining yet informative. I understand that each of the chapter of this book should probably have a book or 2 by itself, but I think that is for readers to dig in at their discretion. As far as a brief history of money goes, this book has been a good read. Keep it going!

This book really moved me. I am glad that I bought the audible version instead of Kindle or paper version. Joe's performance is essential for bringing out the emotion through the entire book. I will definitely vote for him if he runs for president.

Anyone thinks the growth mindset equals "be positive" doesn't understand a word what this book is about. I don't think I can summarize it in a very accurate way, but I can at least say that the growth mindset is about always being willing to learn and improve, letting go of unnecessary pride and giving everything for the goal you thrive for. Definitely a good book worth reading!
