Historia
At 28, Stephanie Land's dreams of attending a university and becoming a writer quickly dissolved when a summer fling turned into an unplanned pregnancy. Before long, she found herself a single mother, scraping by as a housekeeper to make ends meet. Maid is an emotionally raw, masterful account of Stephanie's years spent in service to upper-middle-class America as a "nameless ghost" who quietly shared in her clients' triumphs, tragedies, and deepest secrets.

Wonderful story
Revisado: 06-15-22
I loved the real story as much as I loved the tv series inspired on it. I also enjoyed listening to it from the author herself, definitely takes the experience to a higher level
I hope this book gives their voices back to so many women who have been silenced and invisibilized like her. We all will benefit with what they have to say
In a world that focus solely on individual responsability, it's great to broaden the approach and include collective responsability regarding collectively created problems
Highly recommend this story
