Historia
I'm Toph. After my father found out that I'd been competing in Earthbending tournaments, he put me under constant surveillance! So I left home. Now I'm traveling through the Earth Kingdom with Aang—he's the Avatar—and his friends Katara and Sokka, on Aang's sky bison, Appa. I'm teaching Earthbending to Aang, and man, do I have my work cut out for me! Even though we've had our differences, it's kind of nice knowing these guys will always have my back and point me in the right direction when I can't feel which way to go.

fun, but not Toph
Revisado: 09-06-24
this is a fun retelling of the story, but it just doesn't feel quite like Toph. they had to use a different Voice, and that's to be expected, but the characterization wasn't there as much. I thought she'd have more off hand comments about her friends and their quirks, but it came off as more cutesy-fun and not as true to the character. The others of this series were good and maybe held a bit truer to the characters.

Lore, Lore, and More Lore!!!
Revisado: 08-01-24
A wonderful read, or listen, in this case. Nancy Wu knocks it out of the park as usual, and the writing for this story is excellent. keeping you on your toes, hinting at what's to come, and yet telling a deep tale of a moment in Roku and Sozin's lives. also, WON SHI TONG LIBRARY MENTION!!! 10/10

This. Is. Everything.
Revisado: 02-10-24
I've listened to this book and the other 3 in the Avatar series a dozen times now. (I drive too often to read books normally anymore) This series has me on the edge of my seat every second, every time! The story telling, the plot, the details... everything was thought out, and it expands out the whole Avatar world in an incredible way! You HAVE to listen to this series, or read them! Take them in, because when the new stuff comes out, you'll have so much more insight than ever before!

Historia
Bin-Er is a city ruled by corrupt shang merchants who have become resentful of the mercurial Earth King and his whims. To extract themselves from his influence, the shangs have one solution in mind: a mysterious weapon of mass destruction that would place power squarely in their hands. As Yangchen and Kavik seek to thwart the shangs’ plan, their unlikely friendship deepens. But for Yangchen to chart her course as a singularly powerful Avatar, she must learn to rely on her own wisdom above all else.

Cannot Stop Listening
Revisado: 07-10-23
the flow of the reading, the comedy snuck into the drama, the magic world of Avatar: The Last Airbender..
100/10, this entire series is phenomenal. I have listened to Kioshi's books as well and can attest those are also fantastic, and I'll be leaving a review at some point soon.
cannot wait for the next Yangchen installment!!!
