Coming up in corporate America, WOC have often found themselves in situations where things don’t quite seem right, but they don’t know why or what to do about it.

This book does the important work of giving words and meaning to those things. It’s also an interesting read told through stories and anecdotes. Informative and enjoyable.

This is the book I wish (my management and) I had 15 years ago!

The subject matter is great. But this is a tough book to get through because Eckhart Tolle unfortunately just doesn’t have an engaging delivery style. Add to that the fact that there are way too many loud “dings” throughout each chapter that will be sure to bother anyone with any degree of tinnitus, me included. It’s so jarring and unnecessary. An updated version without the dings and with a professional voiceover artist would be optimal.

This book reads more like an academic study/ research paper. I couldn’t make it past the first few chapters. Typically when books use stories to demonstrate concepts rather than just relay the principles, it’s much easier to grasp and remember. I’d recommend “Never Split the Difference” by Chris Voss instead.
