Historia
Not every danger comes in the form of a mega-threat like a Titan. Some predators are a lot cozier...more personal. When one such creature threatens an independent tutor, Harry Dresden must shake off the blood and dirt of his most recent battles and rise to the occasion, even when it turns out that the new predator is far more dangerous and connected than first appearances would suggest.

another good entry
Revisado: 07-06-22
one again Jim has written a great addition to the Dresden Files, and one that may be a breath of fresh air for some readers/listeners as it calls back to Harry's more humble beginnings as a P.I.
and on a note for those worried about Jim himself narrating this, I'll say that he's really improved his delivery since last time, and he's doing a pretty great job mimicking James Marsters performance for most characters, at one point I even forgot it was Jim.

good, but short for my tastes.
Revisado: 09-12-19
found this book on google and saw it only had two reviews on here so i decided to give it a chance and i dont regret it one bit.
the book is well written and narrated, the the decision to have a male reader for a female MC was a bit odd, but ive listened to enough audiobooks that opposite gender readers doesnt phase me anymore.
if youre well read in Urban Fantasy you'll know the story beats but theres enough new twists to stay interesting, if you like Jane Yellowrock this might be right up your alley.
my only real criticism is that its short, only 4 hours and the story sort of feels like it was cut out of a longer book.

Historia
My name is Vinna and I am a Sentinel. I'm the last in a line of a hunted, magical race, coveted and killed for our power and abilities. I was hidden and protected, but now that I've been found, it's a race to see who can command and control me. Joke's on them, I bow to no one. I need to master my magic, and protect the five guys I've marked as my own at all costs. Because the line between friend and foe is dangerously blurry, and I'm collecting enemies like Sentinels collect runes.

how many dicks does this bitch need?! seriously, only two of her choosen have personalities anyway, why play at adding more?
otherwise good stuff, i like Vin, shes easy to empathize with, Bastion continues to be the only choosen worth the time, Captain Cockblock had some good moments too.

this books well written, its got this sort of comedy/action thing going on but it keeps them separate, no slapstick fistfights here.
Dust is a likable and relatable guy, though i wish the side characters had a little more personality, the only one to really stand out is Bastion but thats because everyone has their own Bastion in real life that they have to deal with.
Luke Daniels, as always is amazing in this, and his style of reading really favors a book with as many jokes as this.
i look forward to the next in the series.

jarring to say the least
Revisado: 03-12-19
i liked the first in the series quite a lot to i was excited to pick this up right away...only for the start of the book to throw me off completely, two years had past with lost of character growth happening in it and the main characters world being completely flipped from where it was at the end of the last book, i had to check multiple times to make sure i hadnt accidentally skipped to book 4 or something.
turns out this series is a spin off or set in the same world as another book series thats more popular and long running so i guess some stuff happened over there that affected this series but it made reading this as a standalone very unenjoyable.

a little all over the place but a lot of potential
Revisado: 02-20-19
i was given a copy for free to review.
first id like to say that the reader is quite good, she speaks clearly and differentiates characters well.
As for the contents of the story, i like and understand the motivations of all the characters, the author has a nice way of writing their dialog that feels natural. The story starts with our MC pretty bad off, as it goes on we learn that shes been through a lot and has done some bad things but has decided to turn over a new leaf and the main driver of the story is some of those bad things catching up with her and tempting her to give in to her darker nature.
my main criticism is that the book felt a bit scattered, we're introduced to half a dozen groups who all hate the MC, told about a bunch of things that happened in the past and its just a lot to take in all at once.

Historia
As the Empire reels from its critical defeats at the Battle of Endor, the Rebel Alliance—now a fledgling New Republic—presses its advantage by hunting down the enemy’s scattered forces before they can regroup and retaliate. But above the remote planet Akiva, an ominous show of the enemy’s strength is unfolding. Out on a lone reconnaissance mission, pilot Wedge Antilles watches Imperial Star Destroyers gather like birds of prey circling for a kill, but he’s taken captive before he can report back to the New Republic leaders.

this book had its ups and downs, for every likable character there was an annoying or boring one, for every good scene there was atleast two bad ones.
but the narration and radio play style was excellent. none the less.
