Historia
When the necrons rise, a mining planet descends into a cauldron of war and the remorseless foes decimate the human defenders. Salvation comes in an unlikely form - the Death Korps of Krieg, a force as unfeeling as the necrons themselves. When the two powers go to war, casualties are high and the magnitude of the destruction is unimaginable.

Historia
An unimpeachable classic work in political philosophy, intellectual and cultural history, and economics, The Road to Serfdom has inspired and infuriated politicians, scholars, and the public for half a century. Originally published in 1944 - when Eleanor Roosevelt supported the efforts of Stalin, and Albert Einstein subscribed lock, stock, and barrel to the socialist program - The Road to Serfdom was seen as heretical for its passionate warning against the dangers of state control over the means of production.

This book is extremely relevant today. I’m going to get the physical version to reread parts. Its Jonah Goldberg’s ‘Liberal Fascism’ version 1.0.

Historia
Number one nationally best-selling author and political commentator Michael Knowles masterfully traces the history and effects of political correctness from the early 20th century to the present, revealing its insidious roots, exposing the power-hungry language architects behind its ever-growing control, and examining what this concerted manipulation of speech means for the future of American culture, politics, and minds.

Historia
The daughter of a Legion war hero, fighting was in Andien Broxin's blood. But the battles Republic marines face on strange and alien worlds are a far cry from the vaunted, brutal, no-holds-barred conflicts fought at the edge of the galaxy by the elite legionnaires. Until a devastating war erupts right in the Republic’s stellar backyard. Newly stationed on a mid-core planet being harassed by terrorist revolutionaries, Andien and her fellow “hullbusters” find themselves right in the middle of a desperate fight for survival.

It’s okay
Revisado: 06-16-20
It’s okay for a short sci-fi. There’s some mention of future tech ( like printing buildings) that’s neat. I was afraid they were going to make the protagonist a real Mary Sue but it’s not too bad.

Pretty good
Revisado: 03-14-20
Voice work is great. Some of the past Warhammer audio dramas have the sound effects way too loud & you can’t understand what’s happening. Not this one- production a lot better.
Also a great price.

Excellent aerial combat
Revisado: 10-16-19
I loved this book. I was hesitant because trying to write aerial combat could be a disaster- but Abnett is talented enough to pull you in and you still understand whats going on. I don't like mention plot points in the story- but its great. Listen to/read this book.

Historia
Vietnam became the Western world’s most divisive modern conflict, precipitating a battlefield humiliation for France in 1954, then a vastly greater one for the US in 1975. Max Hastings has spent the past three years interviewing scores of participants on both sides, as well as researching a multitude of American and Vietnamese documents and memoirs, to create an epic narrative of an epic struggle. Here are the vivid realities of strife amid jungle and paddies that killed two million people.

Coherent narrative over a complicated timeline
Revisado: 03-31-19
Others have mentioned they don’t like the narrator. I was worried about it at first but quickly got used to him & he’s fine. It wasn’t an issue.
The actual book does a good job of threading the timeline of the Vietnam War with individual stories. Obviously it could go more in depth with certain issues or events but then it would be in volumes. Ultimately it’s a great jumping off point to then learn more in depth about the war with other books that are more focused.

ADB does a good job of switching perspectives to different factions/viewpoints for a single battle in a planetary invasion. This keeps things interesting & fresh.
