Historia
Since the European and Arab slave traders stepped foot into Africa, blacks have been told lies about their heritage. This was all by Satan's design for he is the father of lies. Since biblical times, there has been a satanic agenda to destroy God's Chosen People. This agenda still exists today and is carried on by man in many forms. Satan knows who God's Chosen People are, but for centuries we have been blind to this knowledge even though it's been right in front of our face. After many years of research, the time has finally come for ALL Black people to know the truth.

Good content however several logical fallacies
Revisado: 01-25-23
Overall this book brought out many interesting points which I had not ever heard. I believe that the primary theme of the book was to prove that the black man is the actual descendant of the Biblical Hebrews. As a Christian what benefit or advantage is gained if this were true?
God sent his Son to die as a sacrifice upon the tree for all mankind. If one obeys the gospel then the Lord adds them to the church or body of Christ. In Christ: For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
As a Christian we are to find our value in being a Christian.
Many of the arguments made by the author are logic fallacies. He states the premise which he has not proven and therefore draws a conclusion which does not stand. It appears that much of the authors arguments are drawn from an erroneous view of the Holy scriptures. Thus, the book presented a lot of interesting historical information which is not taught in our schools at least the ones I have attended.
I hope that this book is not just labeled by the masses as fiction. If there are things in this book which anyone does not agree with then prove why and not just state such to be the case.
The narrator was hard to listen to.

Historia
Here, anthropologist David Graeber presents a stunning reversal of conventional wisdom: He shows that before there was money, there was debt. For more than 5,000 years, since the beginnings of the first agrarian empires, humans have used elaborate credit systems to buy and sell goods - that is, long before the invention of coins or cash. It is in this era, Graeber argues, that we also first encounter a society divided into debtors and creditors.

This book sheds a bright light the role of debt.
Revisado: 11-05-22
I have studied the Bible and I thought that I knew what was meant by "The borrower is servant to the lender," but this book sheds a brighter light on just what that means. Rather David Graeber paints a clear picture of just what debt has looked like for the past 5000 years. I find it intriguing that a person who has been taken away from their village and thus enslaved or under bondage is no longer seen as a person but as property.
I have listened to this book twice. I have gotten a print copy of the book because I intend to do further research on some of the topics addressed in this book. I have never considered anthropology as a subject to be explored, but I have added it to my list.
There is a documentary called "Borrowed Future" which "uncovers the dark side of the student loan industry and exposes how the system is built to work against you." It really shows how the industry binds people in debt for life. This book explains how the mortgage loan crisis was a transfer of wealth. I see the same thing happening now with automobile loans today, which stretch out to seven years.
I highly recommend this book. The narration was good also.

Historia
Genesis is a book of beginnings. It introduces us to several biblical themes, including God's authorship of life. In a world that blames the Creator for disasters and credits luck or karma for life's blessings, God's people need reminding that he is crafting a wondrous story of redemption and grace. Within Genesis, we are called to play the part of faithful children so that we might overcome this world and inherit the one to come.

A useful overview of Genesis is told by Michael
Revisado: 10-07-22
I enjoyed listening to The Epic of God. Michael does a good job explaining some of the difficult passages found in Genesis. He caused me to slow down and consider the reading of some of the text which I had previously read without meditating upon it. The narrator clearly pronounces names and locations which often give people trouble. I plan to listen to the book again and place more bookmarks at the point where new or what i consider significant ideas are presented. I definitely recommend this book.

Slow Start
Revisado: 06-26-22
This is the second book by Orson Scott Card that I have listened to. The first was Enders Game. I am so glad that I read Enders Game first or I would have missed out on so much if the back story. I almost stopped listening early in the book as I did not believe the story would be a good one. in the end I am satisfied that I did not stop short. The twist and turns in the story will cause you to reevaluate how you treat others. The Speaker for the dead is definitely a faith challenging book. Do we major on the minors?
The performance is great. The narrators are good and help in differentiating the characters.

Is Christianity obsolete? Can an intelligent, educated person really believe the Bible? Or do the atheists have it right? In his new book, best-selling author Dinesh D'Souza ( What's So Great about America) investigates both Christianity and atheism and their influences on culture to show why there is, indeed, something great about Christianity.

this book lays out valid arguments
Revisado: 04-13-22
this book lays out valid arguments which speak to the truth of Christianity. There are logical arguments which should cause an unbeliever to consider the evidence. I agree with the conclusion the author draws as to why a wilful sinner will not confess Christ. I recommend this book to all doubters as well as those who profess Christ as Lord, for the later will be equipped to answer many objections to the gospel.

In The Case for Christ, Lee Strobel, former legal editor of the Chicago Tribune and New York Times bestselling author, retraces his own spiritual journey from atheism to faith and builds a captivating case for Christ's divinity. In this revised and updated edition of The Case for Christ, Strobel cross-examines a dozen experts with doctorates from schools such as Cambridge, Princeton, and Brandeis, asking hard-hitting questions—and taking a deeper look at the evidence from the fields of science, philosophy, and history.

A Systematic proof of Christ
Revisado: 03-26-21
This book laid out many of the great arguments for proving Who Jesus is. I will most likely listen to it again this time taking notes. At this time in history many more people are seeking the truth. I would recommend this book to any skeptics who doubt that Christ actually lived. This writer spends many hours proving Christ only to end the book by preaching a gospel that he does not prove from scripture. I do understand that this was not the focus of this book.

Historia
The Mis-Education of the Negro, originally published in 1933, is a book that discusses the flaws of Eurocentric curricula that ignores African American history and culture. Dr. Woodson claims that Black people of his day were being culturally indoctrinated in American schools. He believed the system neglected to give African American students a proper sense of who they are within society; it failed to prepare them for success and caused them to seek out inferior positions in society.

very enlightening book
Revisado: 12-11-20
I really like this book. It was quite educating and caused me to evaluate some of my ways of thinking. One part of the book that stood out was the part explaining how"the system" teaches you to think and feel about yourself. What are people to call themselves? I want to listen to this book again. I agree with a quote from scripture, "my people perish for the lack of knowledge." This is a must read.

Historia
In 2013 Assata Shakur, founding member of the Black Liberation Army, former Black Panther and godmother of Tupac Shakur, became the first ever woman to make the FBI's most wanted list. Assata Shakur's trial and conviction for the murder of a white State Trooper in the spring of 1973 divided America. Her case quickly became emblematic of race relations and police brutality in the USA. While Assata's detractors continue to label her a ruthless killer, her defenders cite her as the victim of a systematic, racist campaign.

this was a great book. the author does great job of outlining the nature of a revolutionary. Assata autobiography speaks to the challenges encountered in fighting for equality. Angela Davis does a fantastic job reading this book. she made it seem like she was actually experiencing the action in the book. I tried to imagine just what it would be like if Assata Shakur herself I was reading the book.

Here is Trump in action—how he runs his organization and how he runs his life—as he meets the people he needs to meet, chats with family and friends, clashes with enemies, and challenges conventional thinking. But even a maverick plays by rules, and Trump has formulated time-tested guidelines for success. He isolates the common elements in his greatest accomplishments; he shatters myths; he names names, spells out the zeros, and fully reveals the deal-maker's art. And throughout, Trump talks—really talks—about how he does it.

This book highlights his character.
Revisado: 07-06-20
As someone who has not followed Mr. Trump's life, this book gives a good outline to point towards the rest of the story, which I have begun to seek out. The art of the deal comes down to not allowing fear to drive you. I enjoyed learning about some of the unforeseen aspects of putting together deals and seeing them through. I have come to understand that it is those forces which are beyond one's control or rather which will not be controlled by others that may be the determinant of whether you succeed or fail. One part which troubles me is the situational ethics which dictate Mr. Trump's fidelity in relationships, sometimes to his own hurt.
Overall this was a good read and I would recommend it.
