Historia
Find a missing book. That was the job the woman in the Doc Martens gave us. Easy money, right? Only now it seems she's actually an ancient, powerful sorcerer, and the book is a Book of Power that doesn't want to be found. It wants to tear reality apart at the seams, and it'll use anyone it can to do it. So now we've got one spectacularly displeased sorcerer, a hungry, still-missing book, a dentist with bad hygiene, and a neighbourhood having some reality issues to deal with. Plus about a day before the book turns our world - and us - inside out.

Nice weekend, tea, and Book of POWER
Revisado: 02-25-24
SNAP! And this story just keeps getting better and better. Best friends seeking hot tea and a quiet place to read save the world. Love the voices for the characters and the hijinks that Gobbs gets into within this fantastical world. My favorite part is how well created Gobbelinos character and his seeking comfort. Wonderful, fantastic story in gritty real-world setting.

Historia
I see dead people. And I'm not the only one. They're even on Facebook. The dead are rising, and if we don't stop them before the infection spreads any further, we're going to be knee-deep in the zombie apocalypse before you can say mmm, brains. The only problem is, we don't know why they're rising, who started it, or how to stop them. But G & C London, Private Investigators, are on the case. Just as soon as we get through dealing with disapproving reapers, irate magicians, zombie-fied chickens, and a small internal case of undeadness. Trust us.

zombies, reaper and, sorcerer!

Wild ride with forever friends seeking warmth and brownies. I love that these books give me giggles on dark days. The story is excellent with twists, on curves around cliffhangers, falling into a mug of hot tea.

Historia
After being disowned and labelled as a human because she can't shift, Betty Newman rescues unwanted dogs to fulfill her need for pack. Being rejected by her birth pack was enough pain for a lifetime, and she'll do anything to avoid subjecting herself to their prejudices. Things change when Ken Birch wakes in her kennel still in wolf form and declares she's his soul mate. His presence wakes her feral heart and makes her long for a life she can't have. Old wounds are opened, and she refuses to listen to instinct.

Laughing with Werewolves!
Revisado: 11-15-18
l really enjoyed this book, B.J. Harrison does a fine job creating voices for each characters. If you like romantic comedies this is a perfect mix of laughter, hot shiftier, and choas. The narrator's voice suits the characters and portrayed the emotions beautifully. I love to hear/read strong female characters that stand on their own. She felt like a friend with the all the crazy cherry on top. I've been waiting for this one to be released and now am tapping my toes for the next in the series.
This is a feel good, happy ever after story

Historia
An uneasy peace between the dwarves of Mithral Hall and the orcs of the newly established Kingdom of Many-Arrows can't last long. The orc tribes united under Obould begin to fight each other, and Bruenor is determined to finish the war that nearly killed him and almost destroyed everything he's worked to build. But it will take more than swords and axes to bring a lasting peace to the Spine of the World.

Historia
Eoin Grant hasn't encountered a female of his race in decades, and this crazy person's scent declares her unmated. Fate set her in his path, and he won't let this opportunity slip through his claws. No matter how wary she is of him. After all, how many chances does a dragon have at finding love? But fate can be a crueler mistress than his perfect mate. Of all things, she thinks she's human. But she's been around enough shifters to know the look, and she won't go down that road again.

Laughing at dragons, fun listen.
Revisado: 02-19-18
Would you consider the audio edition of Not His Dragon to be better than the print version?
I would say that the audio edition is equal to the print version. Both are funny. I read the entire book before listening to the audible book. This version was all the book plus allowed me to do other activities as well!
What did you like best about this story?
Angie is a wild woman going for it all without any backup. I love to hear/read strong female characters that stand on their own. She felt like a neighbor or a coworker with the all normal choas but turned into fun exasperation and aspirations. Eoin sounded just as I had imagined him, slower, deep thinking artist and clueless of everyday experiences that he skips out on needing to deal with as he is a dragon. A man who goes for his interest even knowing that she can get by without him just fine. Strong enough that a strong female character doesn't get minimized to stand him taller.
Have you listened to any of Diane Lehman’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This was my first time listening to her. I have listened to many audiobooks but they have had male performers, I would absolutely listen to other books that she has done. It was very odd for the first few chapters as my experiences were with male voices but she ran with it and did an excellent performance. I forgot that it was her reading as I was pulled into the story. The start was a little rough with some of her character voices needing refinement (Laronzo) but she did get them rolling and they didn't even catch my notice when they were brought back later in the book.
Any additional comments?
I've not been listening to romance books but will love to hear the next in this series.
