Historia
In The Vegan Solution: Why the Vegan Diet Often Fails and How to Fix It, prolific author Matt Stone shares his pioneering research on the role of metabolic rate in health as applied to a vegan diet. In the book you'll learn about "The Frigid Fourteen" - fourteen metabolism-lowering mistakes that are frequently being committed in the vegan world. These simple, misguided mistakes are commonplace and extremely detrimental to the metabolic rate and all of the body's systems affected by it. Yet they are all simple to fix, returning the body back to proper function, oftentimes while remaining completely vegan.

Any additional comments?
The beginning was offensive so I stopped listening. I assume the rest would be the same. Any book that talks about your neighbours being able to smell your b---s because you have been wearing the same shorts for 3 days, lacks credibility and is insulting to its readers. Disgusting!

A worthwhile read

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this book now that I have finished it, but if it wasn't for the other reviewers' positive comments, I wouldn't have made it past the first hour of listening to it. The first two hours are full of slow autobiographical accounts of Dan's life prior to his self-help journey and you end up asking yourself if the book was given the wrong title. It turns out that you need to learn about Dan's personality and his lifestyle prior to his awakening in order to truly appreciate the internal challenges that he overcomes.
As the other reviewers have said, his account of his experience at the retreat is worth the read in itself as his humorous frank approach is so real you feel like he's telling your story.
For those of us who are still trying to find enlightenment or even just toying with the idea of beginning to meditate, I think that this book is worth the time.
What about Dan Harris’s performance did you like?
Having the author read the book makes it much more authentic, especially as it was his own story.
