Ian Tregillis has written a tale of adventure, action, cyborg mystery and the occult injecting them into the iconic history of WWII. The story trail blazers into a unique place in fiction & for this listener doesn't follow the expected. First rate can't wait for more. See The Coldest War.

Dont be fooled by this series this is no childs tale. Horrors both man and beast run through these pages and you will soar with telling of the tale of young Rosamund Bookchild. Expertly illustrated by the author himself (not that you can see this in an audio book) open your eyes and mind to world of the Monster blood tattoo series you wont be disappointed.

River God Audiolibro Por Wilbur Smith arte de portada

Epic in everyway it counts

Total

Revisado: 03-16-11

This was my first expereince with a Wilbur Smith tale. It does not disappoint. If you wish to come to know the time of the Pharaohs then look no further. Smith writes history suberbly and masks it as a work of fiction. Read on and come to know the Egypt of legend.

The crescendo of the Farseer series. See what lay in wait for Fitz as he once again takes his place as the changer. He and the Fool are together again to change the world of the six dutchies forever. Robin Hobb again bears the reader to the skill and the wit in a world that the reader never wishes to leave. In this our hero becomes more than we can imagine and gives it all up for his king.
Sadly the Tawny man series which continues the tale of Fitz & the Fool has yet to find its way to Audible so savoir this masterpiece unitl then.

If you have not read Robin Hobb then listen to her tales.
This is not a mere fantasy tale this is an epic told through the eyes of the catalyst Fitz from boy hood to man hood in the service of his king.
This is the first of 3 books, Assassins Apprentice book 1 introduces our hero as he is thrust into a life of the royal court as the royal bastard of the prince who shall be king, be prepared if you love this book with each book the tale only gets better.
Robin Hobb tells the story with a wonderful subtlety that doesn't hit you over the head with sword and sorcery but explores it through the fragility and humanity of her characters.

Hidden gem

Total
5 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 03-16-11

If you are seeking that hidden gem seek no more. Jonathan L Howard has done for horror what Terry Pratchet did for fantasy. Not that I believe this is horror this is more paranormal (black comedy at times) but horror is how book shops seem to class this piece of brilliance.
Enjoy it then move onto Book 2 The Detective.
