Historia
At the end of the Second World War, Cyril Conroy combines luck and a single canny investment to begin an enormous real estate empire, propelling his family from poverty to enormous wealth. His first order of business is to buy the Dutch House, a lavish estate in the suburbs outside of Philadelphia. Meant as a surprise for his wife, the house sets in motion the undoing of everyone he loves. The story is told by Cyril’s son Danny, as he and his older sister, the brilliantly acerbic and self-assured Maeve, are exiled from the house where they grew up by their stepmother.

A page turner
Revisado: 07-07-20
I am so glad I listened to this. I enjoyed Tom Hanks as the reader. His voices were great and his expressions helped make the story a really good one. I call this a page turner because of its content if I was reading it I would not put it down.

I love listening to you on the radio.

I was curious about your new book and meeting your dad . I decided I should listen to this since you were the narrator. You were brutally honest which I have come to like on your show. I was not disappointed . I am a prude though and really didn't want to know even in reference that you made love to your self. Nice choose of words though because it is a selfish act. I taught my grandson that it was feeling he needed to save for love. That it was selfish and the act has ruined marriages. I was a hairdresser for a long time and people have told me this very fact. So being the prude I am . When you lost your virginity was not interesting either. Those are private and I feel rude facts. I know it is acceptable these days to talk about these things, but I still find it rude. I overall could say if I was reading this book it would for me be a page turner. I pray you find success and as your counsellor would say stop and enjoy stop waiting for the other shoe to drop. I once heard a rich man say if I took all the money I have and give it to the poor. They would still be poor and I would be rich. Because he said "I would use the same skills I used to make the money and would make it again". So attitude is the key. You are Humble because you were once poor. You learn from your experience and we learn from hearing them. I hope and pray you find someone to spend your life with and your forever home with. Just keep it real, which you know has worked for you.

Historia
This is a summary and analysis of the book and not the original book. In his memoir Bare Bones: I'm Not Lonely If You're Reading This Book, country music radio personality Bobby Bones, whose birth name is Bobby Estell, looks back on his life so far. Bobby, who was 36 at the time of its 2016 publication, reflects on his successful and storied career, which has spanned three radio stations. He also explains how his difficult childhood has had an ambivalent legacy in his adult life.

I listen to Bobby every morning
Revisado: 06-07-18
I was glad to see the person who I hear on the radio everyday in and writing books. I heard parts of tattoo man on his show and wanted to hear about others who he inspired. I watched America's got talent just to see him mentor the singers. I listen to him when I am driving my bus for special needs kids. They are older and have there ear phones in playing there games on there phones.
I will buy and listen to his book because I find him an interesting character. His coworkers delightful. Especially Amy I am a religious person and find lunch box over the top. He is a man so excited about having baby yet acts like a child himself his wife must have her hands full.
I love the banter between all of the people on the show.
I do not find it strange that Bobby refers to his coworkers his friends. Especially with the time he spends with them.
I pray he finds someone he can share his success with. He appears to be a very loving person.
Whom ever he finds will be blessed to learn about his deep love not only for his dog but for his work.
