Historia
No secret stays hidden forever. A phone call from an old friend sets mysterious book researcher Giovanni Vecchio back on the path of a mystery that has eluded him for centuries. Little does he suspect a young librarian holds the key to an ancient secret, nor could he expect the danger Beatrice De Novo would attract. Now both will follow a twisted maze leading from the archives of a university library, through the fires of Renaissance Florence, and toward a passion that could destroy them both.

Dina Pearlman is brilliant!
Revisado: 04-25-14
Where does A Hidden Fire rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It is among my favorites, along with all the ones in this series.
What did you like best about this story?
What a ridiculous question. It takes the reader in and and creates another totally believable world with believable characters.
Which character – as performed by Dina Pearlman – was your favorite?
They are all great. Pearlman ranks up there with Jim Dale and Lorelei King at creating distinctive voices for the characters. For the reviewer who objected to the nasal, harsh quality of the voice for Beatrice de Novo: well, she's from Houston, sorry about your luck!
Any additional comments?
Please, Elizabeth Hunter, keep Dina Pearlman as the narrator for all the Elemental World stories. Dina: Elizabeth is maybe going to write a big series featuring Tenzin and Ben. The only weak spot in your reading is Tenzin's voice. Too harsh and neutral. Tenzin's native language is long extinct. That gives you a lot of leeway. Contemplate Tenzin herself. How would she sound, with no other restrictive parameters? I really look forward to seeing how you read her stories, from that point of view.

Historia
Seattle police detective Joanne Walker started the year mostly dead, and she’s ending it trying not to be consumed by evil. Literally. She’s proven she can handle the gods and the walking dead. But a cannibalistic serial killer? That’s more than even she bargained for. What’s worse, the brutal demon can only be tracked one way. If Joanne is to stop its campaign of terror, she’ll have to hunt it where it lives: the Lower World, a shamanistic plane of magic and spirits.

Terrible reader!
Revisado: 04-13-14
What would have made Demon Hunts better?
A different reader. Her male voices are hideous. She makes Morrison sound like a pipsqueak.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Gabra Zackman?
Lorelei King, Marguerite Gavin, or Dina Perlman.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment. This is the best novel in the series, but the audiobook is so bad I could only listen to a few minutes of it.

Lorelei King, please
Revisado: 04-13-14
Would you listen to Alpha and Omega again? Why?
Probably not. Graham is disappointing on the female voices, especially Anna.
What aspect of Holter Graham’s performance would you have changed?
Better female voices. Better yet, fire him and let Lorelie King read this series, as she does so well with Briggs' other series featuring Mercy Thompson.
