I love love LOVED this book in the series! Cam and JoEllen were EVERYTHING. The ugly duckling persona that JoEllen has and believes she is up against the beautiful, tattooed, muscled mountain of a man that is Cam. They were they absolute perfect opposites. I loved their jokes and banter. Their friendship was so funny and it very much was reminiscent of a early 2000s coming of age movie or the likes of "Never Been Kissed" with Drew Barrymore. Cam being a Scottsman on top of all of his physical attributes was also just the icing on the cake. He was a very complex and unexpected character. I didn't expect a whole lot of depth from him and was pleasantly surprised by his growth as a person and all that he was.

This story is a fantastic cinderella/Beauty and the Beast-esque story and I loved every minute.
The Narrator deserves extremely special recognition as well. She voiced EVERYTHING and it didn't feel like listening to a gal voicing men. It very much felt and sounded like different narrators! So good!!

I love a good playboy jerk turned mush for the right woman kind of story. LJ delivers with her typical Alphahole style of guy with Chase Black. Maddie was a great character too. I love how unbothered she was by everything rich and shiny. She was wholly herself no matter what or who she was around. Very much a beauty and the beast feel for me with the jerk and the sweet woman. I also really loved the complicated family dynamic between Chase and his brother/cousin/his ex-fiance/sister-in-law.

I really liked the majority of this story. It was a lot of fun having Christopher going off on an adventure the way he did and "slumming it". I really liked reading about his adventures, mishaps and the things that humbled him. But I absolutely hated the ending of the book. It felt so rushed. Like it was a slapped on run-of-the-mill ending and it happened so fast. It didn't really feel like there was a resolution to their true issues with their situation. I agree it didn't need to be dragged out with 10+ chapters, but it just felt so cheap for their story and who they were as characters.

This, I would say, has been my least favorite Miles book so far. It's not that I didn't like it, but I didn't love it. I'm not sure if that's due to the fact that you don't really get to see Elliot in the other books much to get a feel for his personality and who he is, but I had a really hard time connecting to his story. The spice was great, but the story was "meh" until about the last 10 chapters.

I really enjoyed this story. From the first book, you got glimpses of Tristan due to his closeness to Jameson, but he really blossomed in his own book. I did not expect his story to play out the way that it did, but I was absolutely obsessed by the end. His and Claire's story was so beautifully broken and magnificent and made me cry. But also put me back together by the end.

This was my first Rebecca Yarros book and I didn't have a clue what it was about going in. I don't read blurbs. I like to be surprised. To say I was surprised, in the best ways, is an understatement. This book was phenomenal. I know it gets some flack for being on the slower side, but it's needed in order to build up the story to make it what it is. The dual timelines is generally not something I'm a huge fan of, but this was written SO well that it just flowed seamlessly for me and the back and forth made so much sense and didn't detract from the story at all. This story was absolutely beautiful and I couldn't have predicted the end AT ALL. Very very very well done! Bravo!

I had zero clue what this would be about going into it, as I do with most books. I just knew it was about sports of some sort.

The story between Zanders and Stevie was so cute and I absolutely loved it. It very much felt like listening to a hollywood sports romance movie. Gave those vibes for sure. I love how Stevie is a complex character and Liz wrote her with, I assume, so many women in mind with how we view our bodies and how we try and feign confidence and put up a front as if we don't care, when we're actually very insecure. I thought it was a beautiful tribute to that. And I also loooooooove how Zanders couldn't get enough of every single curve, dimple and stretch mark that adorned Stevie's body.

I absolutely loved the audio of this book. I had previously read it in print, but then decided to listen to it and I am so glad I did. Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor brought Goldie and Fletcher to LIFE and performed wonderfully! Hearing the British words and phrases from Jason made the story that much funnier. And Goldie was spot on for what I was thinking she would sound like in my head. The inflection, the tone, all of it made the story that much better.

This story. This story BROKE me! I was left absolutely heartbroken with my sanity scattered about me until the very end. I say that all in the BEST way possible. Kate has this amazing ability to invoke such strong reactions and feelings out of her readers that, so far for me, has been unmatched. There has been no other author that has made me scream, cry and laugh audibly, as much as she has. Her characters and their stories become so real and their emotions just find a way of becoming your emotions. You go through it all with them and you feel what they feel. True art invokes emotion and Kate writes absolute MASTERPIECES. I don't want to give away plot points of the story with this review, but just know that you will go through so many feelings with this one. From love, to loss, to devastation, to aggravation, to longing, to anger, to the resignation to the characters stations in life. If you want a story to put you through the wringer, this is it.

This story, the whirlwind romance that it was, completely swept me off my feet. I didn't know what to expect coming into it. I hadn't read a blurb or anything. Everything was a complete surprise and oh man did it pay off going in blind. I had zero preconceived notions and that was the perfect way to approach this story in my opinion. The absolutely heartbreak and devastation was so palpable and felt so real. By the end, I felt like these characters were my friends and I WENT THROUGH IT with them. My heart hurt for them. I cried for them. I cried with them. The twist with the story was definitely one I was not expecting and was so pissed about at first, but to true Kate Stewart fashion, she will rip your heart out and shatter it into a million pieces just to put it back together in a different pattern. Her books have this way of rewriting your brain chemistry, I swear. Bravo!
