Some plot holes

I typically enjoy thrillers. But this left more questions and seeming plot holes than most other thrillers. If you don’t mind thrillers that are simply for suspense and drama, this would be an okay read. But if you get frustrated by contradictions, plot holes, and unanswered questions, this may not be the read for you. Also, the build up was slow at the start, but towards the end seemed rushed. Maybe a sequel is coming to answer some of the questions and wrap things up? On a better note, the performance was well done.

This is the first time I’ve read one of Abby Jimenez’s books. I really enjoyed this! Very hard to put down. There were some moments when I rolled my eyes a bit - but that’s any ‘rom com’ really. In the end, I found myself cheering for certain characters, and feeling relieved that those characters didn’t fall into the typical tropes. Highly recommend for an easy beach read that will pleasantly surprise you!

Cancel your plans for the entire day when you start this book!
It is a captivating story and you’ll need to pay close attention to each of the characters to see how their lives intertwine in the end. This is so well written, I felt like I was right there with Rachel and with Hannah as they shared their stories. The parts where the podcast came into play, I truly felt like one of Rachel’s podcast listeners. Brilliantly crafted!! Must listen.

The ‘twist’ at the end was underwhelming

Good story with captivating characters. I’ve read a few from this author and this book’s ending was underwhelming compared to what is typical for this author. Regardless, I still recommend giving this book a read! The performance of the reader was top quality and made it hard for me to hit ‘pause.’
