Historia
Mackenzie Smyth dared to audition for a TV show, thinking she had no chance of getting the part. Five years later, she's one of the most popular young actresses in Hollywood. She's also socially awkward and struggles with getting to know new people and spending time with her peers. Lennox Owen is Hollywood royalty and has been famous since birth. She's remained in the business because she didn't know what else, if anything, she could do, and because it was what was expected of her. When Lennox and Kenzie meet at an adult summer camp, there's electricity between them.

Good story, corny dialogue
Revisado: 10-24-20
The story is good but the dialogue is sometimes annoyingly corny. It made me almost stop reading it, but I found the book got better towards the end.

Great introduction to algorithms!

Very pedagogical and interesting book on algorithms! Absolutely loved it. You get a pdf with all the code and pictures, so it’s totally fine as an audio book.

21 days of meditation is much better
Revisado: 05-09-20
If you’re a beginner with meditation, I’d recommend “21 days of meditation” instead. It gives you much more guidance than this one.

Historia
For seven years, Paul Lockhart's A Mathematician's Lament enjoyed a samizdat-style popularity in the mathematics underground, before demand prompted its 2009 publication to even wider applause and debate. An impassioned critique of K-12 mathematics education, it outlined how we shortchange students by introducing them to math the wrong way. Here, Lockhart offers the positive side of the math education story by showing us how math should be done. Measurement offers a permanent solution to math phobia by introducing us to mathematics as an artful way of thinking and living.

Wonderfully written!
Revisado: 02-27-20
I loved this book. It’s written in a wonderful conversational style and very well narrated. Since all the illustrations/equations are not in the accompanying pdf the book requires some visual imagination and some fluency with mathematics.

Historia
It’s only a slight exaggeration to say that the British mathematician Alan Turing (1912-1954) saved the Allies from the Nazis, invented the computer and artificial intelligence, and anticipated gay liberation by decades--all before his suicide at age forty-one. This classic biography of the founder of computer science, reissued on the centenary of his birth with a substantial new preface by the author, is the definitive account of an extraordinary mind and life.

Way to much detail
Revisado: 01-19-20
Reading Andrew Hodges “The Enigma” on the life of Alan Turing has sadly been a great disappointment. Hodges is doubtlessly an expert on the topic, but I expected a fascinating read and found a long (30 hours!),
dreary voyage through way too much detail. If you want to know every letter sent, every action taken by Alan Turing - this is your book. If you want an interesting account of Turing, Second World War cryptography and the emergence of computers, my advice is to look elsewhere.
