Historia
As raging floodwaters engulf her Louisiana hometown, Nola Landry is stranded on high ground, the unwitting witness to the brutal murder of three fellow survivors. Finally rescued in the aftermath of the storm, no one is willing to believe a story as horrific as hers - until three FBI agents arrive on the scene...one of whom Nola knows very well. Tate Benton has been tracking the so-called Stormchaser serial killer for months, never expecting the trail might lead him home, or to the woman he cannot forget.

Oh the narration!
Revisado: 05-04-23
I've not written a review before, but I always enjoy Ms Sala's books. The narrator almost killed this one for me. Unfortunately she's also narrated the other two books in the series. Since it's a series, I will have to think hard before I decide how badly I want to know how it turns out.

Historia
Holt's as stubborn as a bull. He's also hiding a rough-and-tumble country boy behind that big-city suit. Everything flips upside down the day he says he'll help save my land. Lucky me. I can't let anybody uncover the secret on my property. Not even gorgeous stallions turning "I hate you" into "What are we doing?". The way Holt kisses proves he's no white knight. Do I dare let a dark knight in?

Narration or writing?
Revisado: 09-18-21
I've not reviewed a book before, but CJ Bloom's was a little over the top on this one. Her use (Nicole's writing) of "ain't" was often time obnoxious. Her narration was up and down, and gave me whiplash. :) Not the best of the series, but a decent read. Sebastian York was spot-on, as usual.

Historia
Big secrets run deep. Former FBI agent Jack McBride took the job as chief of police for Stillwater, Texas, to start a new life with his teenage son, Ethan, away from the suspicions that surrounded his wife's disappearance a year earlier. With a low crime rate and a five-man police force, he expected it to be a nice, easy gig; hot checks, traffic violations, some drugs, occasional domestic disturbances, and petty theft. Instead, within a week he is investigating a staged murder-suicide.

Good book, but second book in the series isn't available yet on Audible. I didn't realize that. Recommend waiting for next book to be available or be prepared to read book two of you want conclusions for the story lines.

Awful Narration
Revisado: 03-17-14
If you could sum up Kill for Me in three words, what would they be?
Awful, awful narration
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I could barely make it through because of the voice of the male lead. Sounded like a whiny old man.
Any additional comments?
This is the first review I've been moved to write. I would have turned the book back in if I wasn't invested through the first two books. I should have paid more attention to other reviews. Argh!
