Historia
This is an eyewitness - and eye-opening - account of some of the most savage and brutal fighting in the war against Japan, told from the perspective of a young Texan who volunteered for the Marine Corps to escape a life as a traveling salesman. R. V. Burgin enlisted at the age of twenty and, with his sharp intelligence and earnest work ethic, climbed the ranks from a green private to a seasoned sergeant.

Thank You Sgt. Burgin
Revisado: 05-26-24
Your book, your story, your gift to all of us who needed to know of Peleliu, and the truth of your experiences there and on the other bloody islands, your love for Florence, your memories of your fellow Marines, for your love of our country, and for the best that a man can be, a United States Marine. Semper Fi Sgt. Burgin!
It was an honor and a pleasure to meet and converse with you in person!

Historia
In The Lady in the Lake, hard-boiled crime-fiction master Raymond Chandler brings us the story of a couple of missing wives - one a rich man's and one a poor man's - who have become the objects of Philip Marlowe's investigation. One of them may have gotten a Mexican divorce and married a gigolo, and the other may be dead. Marlowe's not sure he cares about either one, but he's not paid to care.

Better and Better
Revisado: 05-02-23
Raymond Chandler wrote more words than we’ve ever been able to read or listen to. He’s a legend, an icon, and he’s been buried for more than sixty years. Still, he lives on through his life’s work. Each story, every word, twist and plot made into the characters that are interlaced in his books. Those books, are all excellent and like “Lady in the Lake”, keep getting better and better. Mr. Chandler took the mean streets, the elegant women and shyster, grifter men and spun them into books that literally come to life before our eyes and ears. What we see in our minds as we immerse ourselves in Philip Marlowe’s hard world of silk, chiffon and concrete fists will never leave us. That is a nearly eternal gift to you and I… from Raymond Chandler. Don’t miss the gift.

It was once named America, but now it is just "the Republic". Following the worldwide implementation of a UN-led program called Agenda 21, the once-proud people of America have become obedient residents who live in barren, brutal Compounds and serve the autocratic, merciless Authorities. Citizens mainly keep their heads down and their mouths shut - but Emmeline is different. When the Authorities took her mother away, she started questioning the world around her.

Well Worth It!
Revisado: 12-24-21
We can thank Harriett Parke for showing us that there is a world outside of the "compounds", it's not pretty but the outsiders support and assist their friends. January was an excellent narrator in this sequel as she was unparalleled in the first book. January's voice takes us through the young Emmaline's world as if we were there seeing it through her eyes. Her emotional intonations as a daughter, Mother, wife made this important book come alive. Agenda 21 is apparent today, even in small towns. In large cities it is painfully obvious that it's taking hold. This fine, character rich book of fiction helps us to remember to "Save what you think you're going to lose". Thank You Harriett Parke.

Historia
Just a generation ago this place was called America. Now, after the worldwide implementation of UN-lead program called Agenda 21, it's simply known as the 'Republic'. There is no president. No congress. No Supreme Court. No freedom. There are only the Authorities. Citizens have two primary goals in the new Republic: to create clean energy and to create new human life. Those who cannot do either are of no use to society. This bleak and barren existence is all that 18-year-old Emmeline has ever known.

Harriet Parke wrote an excellent story that told the frightening truth of where we could be headed. January did a marvelous narration, so good that I doubt it could be exceeded. Do yourself a favor, listen and learn.

Open your mind - WIDE!
Revisado: 09-28-20
Dr. Lynn offers us the opportunity to think, to follow her well crafted investigation across tens and hundreds of thousands of years in pursuit of the Anunnaki. Her enthusiasm for the search, the rocks she lifts up and the tunnels and trails she lets us accompany her on are all masterfully conveyed to us by Chelsea Stephens. You can hear Dr. Lynn's electric excitement in Chelsea's voice as the Anunnaki and many other beings, human and perhaps not human, come to life within the vast scope of universal mind beyond time, across space and up close and personal. 3X5 Stars in a Row!
Revisado: 04-17-20
Thank you Jack Carr. You wrote this excellent book and the two James Reese books before it, built the characters, the suspense, the stories and brought them all together without missing a beat! Ray Porter was terrific in lending his special vocal talent. The production team brought this audiobook out without a hitch. I know that I don't know all the work that went into "Savage Son" and the previous thrillers, just know that it was worth it. It's excellent!

Historia
Dale Maharidge’s father, like many World War II veterans, never talked about “the good war”. There was just one clue to his dad’s experience as a US Marine - a portrait with a close friend that hung permanently in their home. In The Dead Drink First, Dale, now a Pulitzer Prize-winning author, recounts his 18-year quest to find and repatriate the missing remains of his dad’s buddy, Herman Walter Mulligan, 73 years after he was killed in action.

Semper Fi Mac!
Revisado: 06-16-19
Thank you for helping to bring Pfc. Mulligan home. When he enlisted, like the rest of all of us who serve, he signed a blank check to the United States of America for any amount up to and including his very life. On May 30th, 1945 Uncle Sam cashed that check and now, as my Father would say, "They owe me a stone and all the grass I can lie under." They earned that the hardest way. Semper Fi!

The highly acclaimed music from the Seven Secrets spoken word audio by Russell Webster. Russell's voice features on ths audio, which is predominantly music, yet has underlying subliminal messages. This is a superb work of relaxing chill out music, with a slightly upbeat tempo. It even gets played at Cafe del Mar in Ibiza in the early hours of the following day after the night before. Great dinner party music too. This is incredibly popular.

Revisado: 02-13-19
If I could give this Seven Secrets Subliminal a 20 Star rating it would be holding back. As a follow-up to the Seven Secrets book it is SO POWERFUL! Yes, I meant that for emphasis. This subliminal reinforces the Seven Secrets messages and it simply makes me feel good every time I listen to it and I've listened to it 100's of times! Thank you Russell Webster.

5Th Listening / Reading At Least
Revisado: 10-30-18
This history, well and thoroughly written, true as best can be ascertained by Win Blevins, is told to us as around a campfire in as animated and clear a fashion as bespoke the times by Michael Taylor. It makes a man yearn for the mountains, harken to every bird call or rustling of the leaves, to chill at silence, and to feel the untrodden earth as if walking in another man's moccasins. The thrill of the hunt, the camaraderie of the rendezvous, and the friendship and hatred of the indians and the trappers. They were for and against each other, and both against the migrants that came after in their trains of wagons... I cannot express the pleasure I derive from this wonder filled book.

A Taste of Delicious
Revisado: 09-07-18
Somehow Nice Girl and Noir sounded oxymoronic to me, me who brought myself up on Spillane, Hammett and Chandler but I bought it anyway and left it on the digital shelf while I followed Gibbon, Beard and the Great Courses across the ancient world. Then yesterday I opened this up and was delighted to find a calculating mind weaving words and crisp phrases across several excellent and short stories. Yes, I listened to the entire book of stories in a day. And yes, they are noir and they left me wanting more of Libby Fischer Hellmann... more, Staccato
