Immature & male lead is awful

I couldn't finish it.

The leads' back and forth is unbearably immature. They sound like siblings under the age of ten, not twentysomethings. I'm surprised they didn't poke their tongues out at each other.

The male lead has multiple partners that he doesn't know well in quick succession (the encounters are detailed) without getting tested. I couldn't get into it because all I could think about was how he was destined to give an STD and pass it along to the female lead. His dialogue was just as cringy. There are brash players and there are creeps. Travis is the latter.

Wonderfully sweet, complex story.

Mike and Lucky are endearing characters you can't help but root for. Rachel did a lovely job performing.

Really?

Chase has zero redeeming qualities. In our first introduction to him, he's sleeping with his teammate's wife. He pursues Ty while she is still a minor. Seventeen, but still. He's in twenties, and in some states, that's illegal -- eighteen is the age of consent. And when he finds out she's no longer a virgin, he is furious and thinks less of her. So much so that he takes back his 'I love you' and breaks up with her, making him the ultimate hypocrite. It also points to her youth and innocence being what he liked most about her. He's a creep, not a "sexy bad boy".

Samantha did a great job performing.

I don't even know if I like the story. The narrator used the exact same voice for everyone, and it's a very boring one. I never thought I see the day when a sexy story would make me sleepy.

My Favorite of the Cake Series

Finn has charisma for days. I love what he is able to bring out in Emma. Their relationship is something special to behold.

Andi and Zachary are a stellar duo as always, but Lucky Suit is a very forgettable story. Very little happens.

Needs an Epilogue

I am a huge fan of the Cake series. I had to check out J. Bengtsson's latest book as soon as possible. The humor and emotional depth were there, but the ending was way too abrupt. Due to the lack of epilogue, there were too many loose threads left dancing in the wind for the story to live up to its full potential.

The world's saddest story

what I thought would be a fun and lighthearted read turned out to be the most heartbreaking thing I have ever read. I had to stop listening in order to stop crying. Andi and Zachary knocked it out of the park as always, which made it that much harder to handle. Everything felt too real. if you enjoy emotional torture, go for it. You are a brave soul than I.

Like Nails on a Chalkboard

The narrators' accents are atrocious. I was cringing as I listened. I gave up when I realized 2/3 into the book that there is no real climax. Sophie and Connor have the same fight a million times. And hearing it in those accents? Absolute torture. Sample before buying. if you can handle it, more power to you.

A struggle to finish

A severe case of instalove on Kass's part. I finished the store feeling as though I still knew nothing about the characters. There was very little backstory on either of them. There was no telling of their likes or dislikes, just that they were beautiful and what they did for a living. They are flat and boring as individuals and I couldn't invest in them as a couple. I stuck the book out until the end because I wasted a credit on it. I need to do more book research before I click purchase. Erin and Zachary, especially Zach, did a wonderful job with what they were given. They made it tolerable.
