A tale so sad but also so wonderful. A tale so poignant it makes you push pause frequently to imagine what choice you’d make if you were one of the characters. A tale that describes love that most wish they will find in this lifetime. And a superb narrator.

My new favorite NARRATOR

In order to have a good narrator, you do need a really good tale for them to read, so that’s a given. Nick Stone delivered a stunning court/thriller drama. Read this book comma I’m so grateful for how lengthy it was, I listened to it in two days, I woke up the second day, listening within 10 minutes of rising because I couldn’t get it off my mind. I’m looking forward to reading more of his work. But what I loved best is that I got introduced to David Thorpe! I immediately saw how prolific he is, and I’m looking forward to listening to him over and over again.

One of the best in the series!

It was wonderful to have so much inner dialogue and get to know Evan/orphan x/the nowhere man better. Just when you think you know everything about his upbringing his internal dialogue, you get a book like this. Shame on those who gave spoilers. I wish audible would remove those reviews. How rotten for someone to be angry about what choices the author makes and then at the same time ruins things for other readers just like himself.

Tied it all up with a bow….

Tied up with a bow, neatly, and perfectly, all the characters from the three books, knitted like the perfect sweater ……But….. room for something else to follow. Even though this is a trilogy, perhaps what will follow will be a second trilogy? I need more books from this author pronto. Immediately! But until that day comes, I’ll start back with book one and read through this trilogy again!

Lots of quotes

This book was written in such an interesting way. The back and forth timeline was done so effectively. The author would take us back suddenly but not unpleasantly. In other books it would feel wearisome, but in Thai one, you become grateful to get more insight into what happened to the protagonist to bring her to the present day choices and thoughts she had. Plus, so many quotable sentences. I highly recommend.

The ending surprised me ….(no spoilers)

Of course, if you’re reading this far into the series, you are hooked just like I am. You don’t need to read any reviews for another gray man book; you already know it’s going to be thrilling, on the edge of your seat danger, barely missed escapes while hanging over the edge of a mountain. The cliffhanger at the end is why I’m here. Wow. I’m about to use that credit to pre order the next book to see what happens! And I already know that I’m going to love it!

Who wouldn’t want to know how Court Gentry/Violator/The Gray Man/Sierra 6 became who he is? And what other character can handle four names with ease like this? If you’ve gotten all the way here to book 11, there should be no thought involved; just use that credit and push play.

If you love, Emily Henry, then this is a no-brainer. She is true to form, this story is heartwarming, it reminds us of what being loved by your favorite person really means.
