Drags on and on and on
Revisado: 07-08-19
This is definitely a storytelling audiobook and much less on practical information. I was hoping to learn negotiating skills but instead heard FBI stories and his biography. Could be good if that’s what you want. I personally did not.

It has value but is way too long.
Revisado: 06-22-19
There are certainly things to be learned and gained from this. This book could be made better by editing out 70% of the redundancy. The last 60% was the same as the first 40% just in different words or phrases. Would recommend but maybe a cliff notes version.

The main reason for buying an audiobook that advises businesses on surviving recessions is that it can offer insights that may not have been thought of by the business owner. For instance, if you operate in a service-based business that is more of a nice-to-have rather than a necessity, you may need to make cut-backs earlier to help stem off the down turn.

This audiobook was very lame. I can sum it up here for you. Buy gold because the book says it will never go down haha. Cut up vegetables and freeze them to get through a recession (seriously) There was a whole chapter on how to use vinegar to get stains out hahahaha. Use a cue tip to get the last bits of lipstick out of the tube. Increase your income and lower your expenses duh. Do side jobs. The End. The narrator sounds like the old woman from the Gremlins that has the electric staircase chair and gets shot out of the roof.
Use my fail as your experience. Don’t bother.

Shinn begins with the following statement: "Most people consider life a battle. It's not a battle.... It's a game. And, like most games, it can't be played successfully without understanding the rules." In a clear and accessible manner, Shinn then sets forth and explores the six key rules for the game of life, providing to listeners the user's manual for making informed decisions and fully embracing a life of success and happiness.

Rambling and outdated speech
Revisado: 07-21-17
Seemed like a lot of vague rambling. It was admitted that the book was from the 1920's and the audio was not changed which was noticeable right away. Dated speech and took just as much time trying to figure out what was meant in today's language vs the actual information. I wouldn't recommend.
