Finally Dragonlance gets a competent narrator.
Revisado: 01-02-18
I love these books and finally I run across one with a competent narrator. The first 11 books had horrible narration.

Historia
One hundred years have passed since the fiery Cataclysm that changed the face of Krynn forever. For one hundred years, the people of Krynn have struggled to survive. But for some, those one hundred years have passed in the blink of an eye. Catapulted forward in time by Raistlin’s powerful magic, Caramon and Crysania find themselves aiding the mage’s unholy quest to master the Queen of Darkness. To his dismay, Raistlin discovers along the way that the annals of Time are not so easily bent to his will. Neither are the longings of his heart.

Also try actually yelling or just talk. No whispered yelling. I love these books, but this one kinda lost something with the narration.

Once again great book, bad narration.

I do not understand why they cannot hire a good narrator. in this book you must listen to Taz be pronounced toss, and endure whispered yelling that is cringworthy. Basic English words mispronounced. ug.

Historia
Lifelong friends, they went their separate ways. Now they are together again, though each holds secrets from the others in his heart. They speak of a world shadowed with rumors of war. They speak of tales of strange monsters, creatures of myth, creatures of legend. They do not speak of their secrets. Not then. Not until a chance encounter with a beautiful, sorrowful woman, who bears a magical crystal staff, draws the companions deeper into the shadows, forever changing their lives and shaping the fate of the world.

Love these books. Terrible narration.
Revisado: 10-31-17
I'd rather listen to this guy than the next narrator that does the in between novels. Dwarven Depths, Highlord skies, and Hourglass Mage. That said, this guy isn't great.
He. Reads. The. Book. Like. A. Bad. Impression. Of. Shatner. There's. Something. On. The. Wing. Some. Thing.

Narration worse than Boehman from the first three.
Revisado: 10-31-17
I love these books, but man they hired bad narrators. This one sounds like Daisy Duck is reading the story most of the time, more pronounced as Tika. Tasselhof sounds like a bad impression of Yoda, and all the male voices are terrible and sound stupefied. Then there are the Draconian voices..... which are so agonizingly slow you want to skip them but can't because it is part of the story.
Great book. Bad narration.

Historia
Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

The Potter Books are Outstanding. Narration: 8/10

Would you consider the audio edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Book 1 to be better than the print version?
No, print is always better..... however I cannot read while driving or working. I can listen to a book while doing both, which is awesome.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Hagred. He is awesome.
What does Jim Dale bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Almost every line is whiny. Don't get me wrong, the narration is not horrible, but it is whiny anytime the characters are asking for something. I wish there was more than one choice of narration, I'd try another for book 2 and then choose my favorite for the rest.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
If I were to make a film... the tag line would read... sorry I don't have 30 million or so dollars to make this any good.....
