A nice, honest story about what really happens to a woman in LA beyond the rose tinted glasses.

For this series of short horror stories, 'Perverted' just as well be a term of endearment.

These stories themselves are creepy and disgustingly twisted, but in a fun and I-Can't-Put-This-Down sort of way. Mick Garris really pushes to the edge how weird his stories can be without being downright offensive, and the narration by the various narrators really hits it out of the park. Plus, it was supported and endorsed by Stephen King himself, so you know that these are good, if not great, stories for horror fans alike.

If you are looking for creepy adult tales that turn up the Ugly to 11, then this audiobook is made just for you.

Steve Nile's short story series about Cal McDonald, a human private detective solving cases in a dark, urban fantasy world, is gripping, gross, and hilarious all at the same time. In this complete series, you get 13 hours of paranormal noir crimes, ghoulish monster mayhem, and a cast interesting and unique characters that give Cal a reason to keep his glass full. Cal flirts between excessive wise-guy-attitudism and grim depression episodes but he is an honest man and lives within an inch of his life everyday as he fights off vampires, werewolves, zombies, and the whole lot. all in all, an excellent and horrific series that keeps your interest from story to story.

This audiobook is brilliantly narrated by Eric Bryan Moore, whose voice nails the mixture of satirical, zany humor and dark, temperamental tones presented in the series.

Overall, I highly recommend the series especially if you're already into the graphic novel series this audiobook is based on, and am looking for more stories in this franchise.

John Shirley blows it out of the park with gruesome and horrific detail. Wetbones is a fun-filled story in the gorey and sexually disturbing kind of way.

My only difficulty is the narration. It's decent and well paced enough that I can get through the whole 10 hours of it, but the lisp in the narration really grinds at you through the whole ordeal. Other than that, it's well suited to add the vivid imagery that makes the whole book stand out on top.

I Highly recommend the book if you want some good, blood splattering fun

A nice little fireside tale about Santa Clause, Father Time, and the importance of responsibility. Learn through the whimsical writings of David Morell and the soothing voice of Owen Morgan why Christmas is not just the time for receiving but giving as well.

Fair warning, The foreword in of itself is around 20 minutes long. don't miss it if you want to learn more about why the story was made and what was behind it's making.

I do recommend this Christmas tale for those gatherings with family and friends. A nice cup of milk and a warm blanket to snuggle is also recommended when listening to this!

I was entranced by the way that Jake Ruddle weaves into your mind the images of this fantastical yet mysterious world that Richard Kirk has crafted. It is stunning, and mystical, and leaves you wanting more.

The plot does leave much to be desired. In all honesty, I do wish it was longer. The journey of Moss and the mysterious stranger is a good glimpse as to the entirety of the setting, the action scenes are the highlight of their journey, but the journey itself is too short and sparse and really does not satisfy my desire to learn more of this world.

The setting has so much potential for it and I would love to see more books found in this setting. Otherwise, The Lost Machine is an intriguing short story that is worth a listen or two.

I like the story. it's smart and suspenseful and the characters interact well, the plot is slow but ends so quick, I would hope for a sequel or an extended version to flesh things out.

The obvious blemish in this book is the narration. Tom Holland can speak well, but the audio quality is not crisp and you have to really focus to try and make out the words he is saying. More of a annoyance than an issue,

If this book was remade with clearer audio and a longer read time, I think it can blow it out of the park for the Hellraiser series.

An engaging short tale about criminal justice. Veil oozes with cunning and charisma and Hap and Leonard are a hoot and a holler! Nice to enjoy this story on a long walk or a drive on the bus, Lansdale's voicework absolutely nails the southern vibe of the story.

A collection of stories that just tugs on your heartstrings.

Like it says on the cover its a children's book for adults, and by that it really means adult stories about children going through dark and stressful times and learning about the realities of our world sooner than they hoped.

Andrew Vachss teaches in every story a lesson for every parent about the importance of raising a child right and to preserve their childhood innocence until they are ready. And even if you don't have kids, the deep and powerful voice of Joe R. Lansdale compels you to keep on listening and learning about what it means to be a child in an adult world. It is an experience you will never forget.
