Historia
For any woman who has ever bought a self-help book and wondered why she bothered. (P.S. Now that I know he's just not that into me, where do I go from there? Yeah, thanks for that advice.) Jennifer Love Hewitt is a self-proclaimed "love-aholic" and hopeless romantic (her middle name is Love, after all!). She has been lucky and unlucky in love, and lived to tell about it---and she's done it all in the spotlight. Much has been written about her love life---some true, most made up to sell magazines.

Would you listen to The Day I Shot Cupid again? Why?
Yes, it really is a pick-me-up and can change a bad mood instantaneously.
Any additional comments?
Jennifer Love Hewitt has such a fresh, cute, innocent sounding voice that every situation she encountered I truly believed shocked her and knocked her on her butt. She doesn't have any stellar advice, although some of the little things she advises are good. It's a funny, quick listen. If you take this for what it is, a sweet story of her navigating through relationships in a breezy, comical way then you won't be disappointed. If you are looking for a true self-help find a man book, then this is not for you.

Historia
As lead singer and songwriter for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Anthony Kiedis has lived life on the razor's edge. Much has been written about him, but until now we've only had his songs as clues to his experience from the inside. In Scar Tissue, Kiedis proves himself to be as compelling a memoirist as he is a lyricist, giving us a searingly honest account of the life from which his music has evolved.

Any additional comments?
I was not expecting such raw emotion. Anthony Kiedis portrays himself in public as very standoffish when it comes to his personal life. I was blown away at his ability to put it all out there, bad and good. So many times I just started at my car radio with my mouth open. Did he just say that? Yes, he did. I loved how he explained the songs that he was creating and the times around which they were being created. It brought me closer to the music and to understanding how hard those times in his life, as well as so many others, must have been. He shows himself to be human, not just a rock star. And out of that, even though he explains it's always a battle and no easy end, he proves he is also courageous.
