This engaging alternative take on a translocation isekai due to the bungling of higher, and potentially high-er, powers blends comedy and adventure into quite the tasty treat. Each character has something to offer readers, and every single one is brought to life by the excellent voicework of Jeff Hays. The combination of a great story that will leave you wanting more and a voice performance both varied and talented makes this Worst Thanksgiving the best to read.

P.S. - The turkey isn't a joke. There is actual development for this character and progression, and I see big things for her in the next book.

This is the second of the Mike McBride books I've read, and I do enjoy them for the easy flow of story and somewhat campy nature. The protagonists make defeating terrorists seem a lot easier than in reality, and it's qujite refreshing to see. In this story, there was far more suspense and a sense of danger for several of the characters, both pro- and an- tagonists. The performance by Scott Ellis is pretty solid, though the overlay of the same voice for group singing numbers wasn't as enjoyable as the rest of the book. On the whole, a good solid modern fiction with fun characters and some decent parodies of world leaders.

A enchanting tale where the young protagonist, Will, ventures into a surreal world that mirrors aspects of our own. Will is seeking out his lost twin, Emmy, at first, but he is swiftly drawn into the intrigues of the other world and must face dire threats in order to solve the impending troubles that plague it. A fine read for young adults to really stir the imagination. For those who enjoy such stories like "A Wrinkle In Time" or "The Chronicles of Narnia", this tale hearkens to nostalgia of such stories.
