Inspiration and information for creating an amazing second half of life: There is an abundance of information on creating a great life for those in their 20s, 30s, and even 40s, but truly little for those 50 and beyond. The media seems to think we should either be chasing our past glory days by clinging to youth with a white knuckle death grip OR just quietly fading into the background and letting life pass by. Yet, this time of life brings an amazing opportunity to combine our wisdom and experience with our passion and enthusiasm and refine, redefine, and reinvent who we want to be and how we...

Historia
In the greatest intelligence operation in the history of the world, Donald Trump was made president of the United States with the assistance of a foreign power. For the first time, The Plot to Destroy Democracy reveals the dramatic story of how blackmail, espionage, assassination, and psychological warfare were used by Vladimir Putin and his spy agencies to steal the 2016 US election. It will show how Russia and its fifth column allies tried to flip the cornerstones of democracy in order to reengineer the world political order that kept most of the world free since since 1945.

Well researched and organized discussion of the Russian interference with the 2016 US election. Very partisan for sure, but backed by fact.

Not at all what I expected. But in a good way.
Revisado: 12-18-18
I can't really do much to review this without some serious spoilers.
Suffice it to say that I really enjoyed this fairly original story. There was a good twist at the end (although fairly easy to spot early on if you're paying attention), good pacing, decent dialog and the tenor of the story morphed nicely throughout the novel.
Bray did a fantastic narration as always.

Solid Reacher Novel. Brick picks up nicely
Revisado: 12-18-18
This is my first Reacher review in a while.
I got pretty bored with the series when nothing seemed to change with the characters and there seemed to be no forward momentum. But after skipping a few and coming back, I'm glad I did.
There is nothing overly new or groundbreaking in this title, but it's a fun read with a slightly different perspective on Reacher. There's quite a bit more of the side characters than normal for a Reacher novel, but they're done quite well.
And yes, there is a new narrator. I enjoyed Dick Hill, but since he's retired, I think they did well by picking Scott Brick. Obviously, if you're not a Brick fan, you won't enjoy this reading; but if you are, it should be quite nice.

Historia
As the shadows of the Empire loom ever larger across the galaxy, so do deeply troubling rumors. The Rebellion has learned of a sinister Imperial plot to bring entire worlds to their knees. Deep in Empire-dominated space, a machine of unimaginable destructive power is nearing completion. A weapon too terrifying to contemplate . . . and a threat that may be too great to overcome.

Adequate novelization of the movie.
Revisado: 04-21-17
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Nah. Just watch the movie.
If you’ve listened to books by Alexander Freed before, how does this one compare?
I don't think I have.
Did Jonathan Davis do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
He did fine. Unfortunately for Davis, I listened to this between a January SaVoy narration and a Marc Thompson narration. Probably not fair due to those titans of Star Wars narration.
Could you see Rogue One: A Star Wars Story being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
This is hilarious. The movie actually came first. So, the stars should be who they were in the actual movie.
Any additional comments?
Probably not really worth the credit or the time. Doesn't really add to the movie narrative and it's just sort of blah. It's a good story, or maybe I should say the movie had a good story. This is just kind of unnecessary.

A Jedi who left Coruscant to defeat Mandalorians - and returned a disciple of the dark side, bent on destroying the Republic. The Jedi Council gave Revan his life back, but the price of redemption was high. His memories have been erased. All that’s left are nightmares - and deep, abiding fear.

Yawn
Revisado: 04-21-17
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Probably not
Has Star Wars: The Old Republic: Revan turned you off from other books in this genre?
Nope. I love the SW novels
Which scene was your favorite?
I can't really think of one that stood out as even being all that interesting.
Could you see Star Wars: The Old Republic: Revan being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
I hope they don't. It's already (more or less) a video game; which is way better than this novel.
Any additional comments?
Not even close to par for a Star Wars novel.

Best of the Aftermath series
Revisado: 04-21-17
What made the experience of listening to Empire's End: Aftermath the most enjoyable?
I think it was a good wrap-up of the series.
What other book might you compare Empire's End: Aftermath to and why?
Better than the other 2 Aftermath novels.
Which scene was your favorite?
Sinjir's romantic sub-plot was a nice twist
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Not an extreme reaction, but I liked it.
Any additional comments?
This series has been decent. Not among the best of the SW novels, but not among the worst, either. Some of the family squabbles get a little old after 3 novels of the same old thing, but all in all, I found the series enjoyable.
Probably won't re-listen at any point, but I don't feel like it was time wasted.
