Series needs to be ready in order!!

So this one was good but lacked so much at the same time. First, I really looked forward to this story because I wanted to see what would happen with Ivy and Priest, but it lacked connection. If you missed any other book in the series, you'll be lost at times trying to figure out how these two got here or what happened between them at some point. This book was a great example of why stretching a series doesn't really work. It was okay but not the best or as good as the first book.

The story was good. Only reason I didn't give it a five star rating was there were plenty of times where things were just skipped over and the timeline jumped ahead. At those times I felt the book needed a little more context.

Missing so much to me.

This one felt like it was sljust missing so much for me. The book started great but then just fell short. How do you own so much but have absolutely zero control of anything. I just don't see it in this one. It was like the lead characters were just pawns.

I can't figure out what everyone else was seeing in this book.

This one was extremely difficult to get through. it started out okay for the first few minutes but then quickly went downhill fast and then just kept spiraling. With three hours left, I wished for this to just hurry up and end because I'm the type that has to finish a book when I start it. The FMC talks about friends but they never reach out and no one ever cares enough to check on her. Like how are those your "friends"? As for someone who has grown up the way she has and who has been alone for so long she shows a lack of common sense when it comes to her security and surroundings. Way too trusting of strangers in general. Almost like a toddler, you want to warn her of stranger danger.

Extremely immature and lack of connection

This story has great potential but unfortunately the female lead was so very immature it was hard to like her. I just didn't feel like there really was a connection between the H and h in this one. I absolutely love Natasha Knight but this one feel a little short for me.

This story was great but a little repetitive. I think this is still worth a listen but keep in mind that you may want to skip over a few things.

I don't get it.

I love this author's work but this book... Olivia is living in the clouds when it comes to reality. One minute she understands the Mafia side of his life and wants to stay by his side but then she doesn't understand why he needs security. Not wanting to give anything else away I'll end this with a question of why was this book 16 hours long? We could have summed it all up in 10.

Definitely worth reading!

I loved this one. Such a perfect mix of spice and comedy. Not too much of either which made this one a must read. I definitely needed this to break up all the spice I normally ready.
