disappointing
Revisado: 07-28-22
It truly blows my mind how poorly this final book was executed. How many times was "too" said? The amount of random things that just happen makes no sense. The ending seems like a 5 year old making up a story and adding anything in that comes to mind.

A LOT
Revisado: 03-31-22
I immediately loved this story when I started it. But this book was a LOT. I'm not sure if it was the way it was written, or the fact that the narrator changed or what, but this book was just an avalanche that felt neverending. There were SO many aspects to it that it felt quite disjointed at times. If Finty had narrated I feel it would've flowed much better (especially given that she is much better and giving different characters distinctly different voices) - that or this book should've been split into two parts. Either way, the story as a whole is lovely, and I hope for more adventures with Hetta & Wynn!

Boring beginning and unfinished end
Revisado: 01-18-22
It took so many tries to get into this book. There are so many pointless details that it's extremely hard to get into the story. Once the story developed in the middle it was ok. But the ending is utter trash. Will be returning. Only wish I could get my time back.

At the very least say the names correctly
Revisado: 04-22-21
It is immensely hard to listen to these books that are supposed to be in the same universe and yet the narrator says the names completely different than the rest of the previous narrators. It's grating. I can't countenance how these narrators were allowed to record and be published while butchering names. Do they not listen to the previous books at all? This seems extremely lazy and detracts from the story.

Wow this is bad in comparison
Revisado: 04-12-21
The narration makes me blanche. This added very little to the other stories. In short, I hated it. Please do not do this again.

Carolyn's not so different from the other human beings around her. After all, she was a normal American herself once. That was a long time ago, of course - before the time she calls "adoption day", when she and a dozen other children found themselves being raised by a man they learned to call Father.

Historia
Verily, the story Biff has to tell is a miraculous one, filled with remarkable journeys, magic, healings, kung fu, corpse reanimations, demons, and hot babes. Even the considerable wiles and devotion of the Savior's pal may not be enough to divert Joshua from his tragic destiny. But there's no one who loves Josh more (except maybe "Maggie," Mary of Magdalan) and Biff isn't about to let his extraordinary pal suffer and ascend without a fight.

One of my favorites
Revisado: 11-13-17
This book is pure beauty. For the Christian and non this book paints Jesus in the light of a person you know. You get to watch him grow up accompanied with the humor of Christopher Moore. As a non believer, this is the type of book that makes me wish i had the desire to follow Christ. I love that it incorporates other religious practices as well. I've read it twice and listened to it on audible once and the story doesnt get old. Audible 20 Review Sweepstakes Entry

I finally finished it
Revisado: 09-26-17
I've had paper copies of this book about 5 times. each time I started reading, I found someone else who I felt needed it more and gave it to them. I enjoyed this book thoroughly. It is a bit off putting to someone who is an Omniest leaning towards paganism with all the God speak. And the forgiveness bit will take some time. All in all I appreciate the piece.
