Classic International Underworld Novel

From the modest beginning, the story takes off with amazing intensity, complexity and suspense. Outstanding reading, including the voicing of various characters. If you love Le Carre, you will be impressed by how this was written years before,

Historia
Look beyond the abstract dates and figures, kings and queens, and battles and wars that make up so many historical accounts. Over the course of 48 richly detailed lectures, Professor Garland covers the breadth and depth of human history from the perspective of the so-called ordinary people, from its earliest beginnings through the Middle Ages.

A History not to be missed.
Revisado: 05-16-20
I’ve been listening to history lectures from The Great Courses for over a year now and I found this one to be the most engaging and revealing of them all. It described in depth how ordinary people have lived through the ages, yet it also connects it effectively with world history events.
The lecturer is brilliant, clever and his delivery is impeccable.
