Super informative
Revisado: 04-27-25
Once again. Very informative to learn the difference btw receptive and expressive. My daughter def understands what she is hearing and seeing etc (even though she chooses to ignore direction at times LOL) the hiccup is more so expressive. She has a large Lexicon but putting it all together to form full sentences to convey what she is feeling, at times is a struggle for her but i see her trying. She is 4 and i feel with the right support and more knowledge on my part, she will succeed

Very informative. Eye opening to hear about the shortage of SLPs despite there being such a need for help. I loved hearing that with the tools, we as parent can help our children as well!

Touré Wallace and Niomi Spencer were close friends at Finley College, the prestigious HBCU they attended. The attraction that simmered between them every semester was a question they never got to ask or answer before soaring ambitions launched them to opposite corners of the world. Both chased their dreams of grit and glamor as high-profile journalists. They got it all...except a shot at being more than friends. Years later, Touré is an award-winning investigative journalist and Niomi is America's most popular morning-show host, but they both feel like something’s missing.

📖 BOOK RECOMMENDATION 📖
It was truly enlightening! One of the best quotes from the book that I feel sums it up perfectly:
“Those stories that we tell ourselves, about ourselves are the most powerful stories that we’ll ever hear. If you want to change the way you think about yourself, you’re going to have to change the stories that you tell yourself” 🩷
