Throughout recovery, whenever I’d heard something valuable, I'd write the gist on a scrap of paper. The book is a compilation of 250 such discussions—difficult lessons I've learned. Everyday "life" situations, relatable to anyone—whether they struggle with addiction or not: romantic relationships, self-esteem, self-centeredness, guilt, not letting go, dealing with other people.

Just truths…

I thought this book has great insight into the human mind, not only on the subject of substance addiction and recovery, but on how the human species tends to torment itself vis thoughts and or worries. I found it very insightful on a broad scope of subjects all that can be altered, of course by the infatuation of the mind and perception. I highly recommend this book for everyone, anyone who is seeking some general insight can find an answer or two here!

This book is literally great for anybody who has lived some life. I myself am a woman so I can relate, but anyone with an open mindset could find laughter and things to ponder from these “pages”. It is now a favorite.!
