Now That’s A Cliffhanger

This is that standout episode in a season of a show you already adore. After absolutely loving the Lockey vs the Apocalypse trilogy, I was really looking forward to hearing these two amazing characters interact. It was great hearing Danielle Cohen narrate Lockey again and would’ve loved if they’d done a lot more together. But this is Adrian’s tale and it’s a good one. Downloading #14 right now…

It should be a law: only Will Patton can narrate King’s stories. In fact, all previous King audiobooks must be redone by Patton. I’d definitely buy them.

I didn’t expect to like this one as much as I did. It’s probably not to everyone’s taste, but then again, is there anything that truly is these days? Loved the style, flavor and swag here and can’t wait to hear more.

Nice short w/ an intriguing twist at the end

I started this not expecting much for a 45min story, but was hooked almost immediately. Great narrators and an interesting story. Enjoyable if you try not to peek under the hood too much to understand the motivations of why things unfold as they do.

Think Red Dawn meets Jack Reacher

An engaging, entertaining story with solid narration. This is my 3rd author, 3rd post apocalyptic thriller set and it’s top-tier. Looking forward to listening to more from this writer!

Great to hear (almost) everyone back in action again!

Had a little trepidation that this would end up being little more than a step up from an embellished fan fiction story, but I was so very wrong! Slayers is a compelling multiverse concept with all the quirks I’d come to know and love about the Buffyverse. All of the performances are solid, I cared about and felt for the characters and the story is quite good. I was sad to reach the end, but enjoyed the journey. Bravo!

He Never Said He Was Ken Burns

This is one of King’s darkest tales, set against the backdrop of an undeniably dark and polarizing period of time for America and the world. As he notes at the end, the views of Covid and Trump are believably authentic to Holly if you’ve read even one story featuring that character. They’re also authentic to King’s public persona, so if you’re offended by the views ‘soapboxed’ in the book, you simply haven’t been paying attention to anything King has written or tweeted in the last 7 years.

Intriguing Concept

Enjoyed the story and performances. Really interested in the mechanics of how Death-Cast was able to function. How could it predict acts of free will? Acts of God? An army of precogs? How did their society transition from one day not having it to having it the next? Is Death-Cast ever wrong?
