Predictable
Revisado: 12-27-23
This was a letdown. The narrator was fantastic, but the story was very predictable. I saw it coming a mile away, even the “surprise” at the end…this story’s been written umpteen times before. If you’re new to reading or listening to books and haven’t seen any TV shows or movies in your entire life, then you’ll probably enjoy this one. But if you have done those things, do yourself a favor and save the credit for something a little more original.

Really good!
Revisado: 01-17-23
I really enjoyed this book! It was very well written and had me guessing right up to the ending. I did not see it coming like so many other books I have listened to. Definitely worth a credit!

Historia
Newlywed Jade Westmore has finally found her forever in husband Wells, a charming, successful, and recently divorced architect—only there’s one caveat: behind the gates of their elysian estate, hidden from street view in the caretaker’s cottage … lives Wells’s first wife, Sylvie. Three years ago, the original Mrs. Westmore suffered a nervous breakdown—and hasn’t uttered a sound since. Not a physician, psychologist, or world-renown specialist has been able to elicit so much as a word from the silent woman … until now.

Unbelievable!!!!
Revisado: 12-07-22
I’m in the middle of listening to this audio book and in chapter 9 at the 34:59 mark, Mary Claire (Wells’s mother) just said “Wells’s and I’s relationship”. This is a major pet peeve for me. The word “I” should NEVER be made possessive. How does someone who writes for a living not know this? The word is “my”. It should read, “Wells’s and my relationship”. Let’s stop propagating this horrific misuse of the English language!

The ending was not satisfying.
Revisado: 03-30-22
The narration was excellent and the book itself was okay...it kept me guessing right up until the end. However, the ending felt rushed and after it was over I was left with several questions that didn't get answered.

Narration is horrible!
Revisado: 03-19-21
I honestly don’t have an opinion about the story, because I couldn’t get through it due to the narration being so bad...he was so monotone that I had to stop listening after a couple of chapters.
