Delicious slow burn

I’m a slow burn reader at heart and this got me! The way Eva and Garth’s relationship grows naturally throughout this story was 💋 chef’s kiss! But it wasn’t all easy for Eva, she is in a relationship with Conner who, frankly, I really couldn’t stand. So the author knocked it outta the park with his personality. Eva and Conner had been dating for 5 years, and her life lined up with his because she gave up a lot of herself.
There’s a lot of internal dialogue to understand Eva’s feelings and so much of it I related to. Sometimes we give too big of a piece of ourselves to the one who doesn’t deserve it and Eva learned the hard way not to lose yourself.
Garth was slightly obsessed and I loved that! It felt like a soulmate tether between the two and I can’t wait to see how their relationship continues to unfold!! Now I need the paperback ❤️
