Every man knows there are lines you don't cross. Like this one - don't bang your boss' little sister. Too bad I didn't know sexy, clever, irresistible London is related to the guy who signs my paychecks. Would have been helpful to have that intel before I took her out on that first date, before I kissed her on the beach, before I made plans to take her home that night.

This audiobook was a wonderful and fun way to start the new year! I love that the book is written from Teddy's perspective, but we get London's POV (Erin Mallon) via her interactions with her friends (Emma Wilder and Maxine Mitchell). This book is a master class in open and honest communication with no game-playing. The storyline develops a romantic relationship that is not co-dependent, but rather, focuses on two strong characters building a lasting and real love with mutual care, sacrifice, and support. I have long been a fan of Lauren Blakely and Joe Arden and this combination was a delight. The narration was impeccable as always from these rockstars of audio. Five stars and congratulations, Joe, on a wonderful debut as an author! Keep them coming!

I am a scientist, married to a scientist, who also enjoys a good romance story. I absolutely loved this audiobook for the joy of discovery, balance of characters, and hilarity of awkwardness. From the elevation of females in science, the respect for deep dives into serious quests for knowledge, to the truly funny yet relatable scenarios of passion and calamity, I enjoyed it from start to finish. (Also, there is a bonus interview with Erin and Andi Arndt afterward that is a delightful bonus!) And of course, Erin Mallon does the narration and is superb. I am looking forward to reading more in this series!
