Ugh…. Lived in England and LOVED this. All ages LOVE this. So funny. Giddily downloaded to share with my nephews only to find hideous laugh track has been added which chops the whole thing up. Vomit!!!

Best clever insults and turns of phrase.

Audiobook has to win out over reading in this particular book. Narrated by author in an Irish accent that knits perfectly with the prose. The story had unexpected turns and beautifully fleshed out characters, lands, species, places, worlds. I normally listen to books at 1.5x speed or I get bored (hello fellow ADHD peeps), but this one I needed to keep at normal 1x. Never bored. Always surprised and delighted and immersed. One of the favorite books I've experienced in last several years - story, performance and humor/intelligence mix all 5 stars. Also - googled Christopher Buehlman - can't believe he grew up in Florida! I'm half British and was sure he was a fellow British Isles-er.

Gorgeous poetic writing, excellent story

Bought this on a whim and so enjoyed it on many levels. The writing was just beautiful - truly poetic at turns. The characters were unique and flawed and strong and vulnerable. Downloading Marrow thieves now.
