Historia
It's amazing what you can buy online these days: memorabilia, fashion accessories, a crumbling Italian farmhouse.... After a Prosecco-fuelled girls' night in gets out of hand, Ruthie Collins awakes to discover that she has bid for her dream Italian home online - and won. Recently out of a relationship, a new start is just what Ruthie needs. Anything is better than sleeping on her mum's settee.

Good Storyline, AWFUL Narrator
Revisado: 06-29-15
Would you try another book from Jo Thomas and/or Rachel Atkins?
I'd never listen to another book by this narrator.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Rachel Atkins?
No way! I spent the entire time turning up the volume and turning it back down. Atkins ruined this book for me. She alternated between yelling and whispering. Truly awful.

Historia
When the obituary of legendary computer game architect Matthew Sobol appears online, a previously dormant daemon activates, initiating a chain of events that begins to unravel our interconnected world. This daemon reads news headlines, recruits human followers, and orders assassinations. With Sobol’s secrets buried with him, and as new layers of his daemon are unleashed, it’s up to Detective Peter Sebeck to stop a self-replicating virtual killer before it achieves its ultimate purpose - one that goes far beyond anything Sebeck could have imagined.

Just terrible
Revisado: 03-18-13
What disappointed you about Daemon?
Honestly, pretty much everything. The narration was terrible. It sounded like Shaggy from "Scooby-Doo" was telling the story. Story was shallow and weak. I rarely stop listening to an audiobook before completion, but I just couldn't finish this one. Not sure what all of the good reviews are about. To each his own, I guess.
Has Daemon turned you off from other books in this genre?
Other books in this genre? No. Other books by this author? Yes.
Would you be willing to try another one of Jeff Gurner’s performances?
No thank you.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
None that I can see.
