The history of reproductive health is a complex and, far too often, dark place. This book does an excellent job of covering the topic accurately and sympathetically while conveying what little is known with hope for our future. I was distracted by the narrator’s accent a few times, but my ear ev

This book is awful when compared to this Author's other amazing works. He wrote it for his daughter and it's obvious he didn't try as hard. It is best described as "YA trash" with cliche after cliche and stupid relationship bs that just takes away from the story. Zoe was best fit as a side character, and fails completely as a protagonist.

I've been something of an Eddie Izzard's fan for the last decade or so, having first encountered his work when living in Ireland. So, when I happened to over hear he had a book out I popped onto Audible hoping to indulge a bit of instant gratification, but got so very much more. I'm incredibly happy I chose the audiobook, the various bits he ad-libs as he narrates at the book are a real treat, and bring a since of familiarity I sincerely enjoy and very rarely encounter. I'm now off to gift a copy of the audiobook to my beautiful transgender sister. To have found something uplifting to give her within this entertaining glimpse into Mr. Izzard's life was unexpected and something I am deeply grateful for.

How does one enhance poetry to rival Rumi? Apparently, one gets Johnny Cash to read it aloud. I've given The Prophet to everyone I've cared about since I was 12 years old, and I've read a many of Kahlil Gibran's other works. This isn't my favorite of his books, The Prophet would be hard pressed to be pushed from its standing in my heart, but I loved listening to it. Mr. Cash's voice intones a sobriety and genuine understanding of the work, and the lilt of the narration lends itself naturally to meditation. I intend to listen to this again, but in pieces - I absorbed it all of apiece my first go - with time to meditate in between.

Have you listened to any of Samuel L. Jackson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

True to his vocal style, with an edge that clearly isn't acting.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes

Any additional comments?

Truly not “kid appropriate”, but entirely parent approved! This is the perfect book for every parent who has wondered why, oh why, doesn't the bedtime routine work? Or tried to get a romantic moment with their partner only to hear the not so joyful pitter-patter of little feet.

Mr. Jackson does a brilliant job reading the story. The slow ramp-up of frustration is at once painfully familiar and wonderfully amusing.
